In L4D I try to pick the weapons that suit my character more, if I was Francis I'd go for an auto-shotgun or a SPAS 12 and a crowbar etc.
Npc next to ledge? Ragdoll Physics? BYE!
When I crash in a racing game I start over, unless it's head-to-head with a friend, then I give up and go around the wrong way and try and crash into him as many times as possible. I like to finish every quest in a game, no matter what. In Fallout, if I can't pass a speech check, I will do a different quest to level up and increase my speech so that I can make maximum profit from it. If I'm in a fight and heavily out numbered, but I need to kill one enemy, I will kill that enemy before I run away, even if there is a different tactic available.
Compulsive sprinting. Is there a 10M distance from here to there that takes 10s walking? LETS MAKE THAT 2.5 SECONDS! *Gets sniped by camper* And in games with diving (BF2/CODBO) or sliding (FC2) I compulsively slide/dive at the end of every sprint. Gets me killed in BO when I got shot trying to dive and my sprint abruptly ends and I go prone on the spot.
When using the needler in Halo: Go in and shit a whole magazine of needles on an enemy, when 6 are enough to cause an explosion. Also: Reloading and even ammo count
I think I literally no-damage-run-ed Half-Life: Source. I would always quicksave and then quick restore whenever I took any damage whatsoever. I did the same thing for most of Half-Life, and I'm trying to do it in Half-Life 2 as well, but it is MUCH harder in HL2. Also, constantly saving the ammo for the best guns and only using the "worst" guns (or the ones with the most abundant ammo) throughout the entire game, almost never using the better guns unless absolutely necessary. Apparently, it's pretty common. The crowbar, pistol, and hornet gun were my top three weapons throughout HL and HL:S.
Also in minecraft, I try to find wood and coal as soon as fucking possible.
In CS:S, whenever I'm about to jump, I always pull out my knife, jump then quickly switch back. For example, I'm about to jump out from a corner, I take my knife out, jump out, switch back to my main, then shoot. It gets me killed a lot. So does excessive reloading. In Fallout 3 I instinctively press "Take all" whenever I open a first aid box. Even though I never use ANY chems except for stimpacks.

Enemy 100 meters away? Use shotgun.
In something like Meat Boy: You find some really cool way that you can beat the level. While attempting to beat the level like that, you accidentally beat it in a less-awesome fashion. Go back and beat it again, making sure to do the really cool thing instead. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline] Also catching every single fucking Pokemon even if I'll never use any of them.
Play minecraft. Reload. A lot.
In Trackmania United the Island car is the fastest you can use, but the thing is that when you're doing corners and you do a drift, you pretty much instantly lose half your speed. So I'm playing a nice track, and I'm at the last corner before the finish. Turn to sharply and accidentally do a drift FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU *restarts race*
Red Dead Redemption, skin everything EVERYTHING
Create new saves every time instead of overwriting.
If the game has a camo class, I MUST use it, and be a ninja... Reloads... gotta reload, can't stand non full clips... slight chance of being able to finish off an enemy with a melee attack, MUST KILL THEM VIA MELEE, and usually get killed by something else in the process Knife Duels. I feel the urge to always honor a knife fight, if someone tries to knife me in cs,bf2142 or likewise, I will ALWAYS switch to my knife and fight them honorably... if they are in a knife fight with a team mate, I can't interfere, I will only interfere after one of the two are killed, usually resulting in another knife fight... Grenades... I just can't use them.... haave ten grenades? nah, just shoot your way out... I MUST be different... everyone on my team using machineguns, I MUST use something else... even pistols(i tend to go pistoleering quite alot) this also applies to visual looks where possible, which is why I now run arond in pink female armor in halo reach...
Closing doors behind me : /
Closing doors behind me : /
Kinda unnecessary (and impossible) in Mirror's Edge, because doors SLAM THEMSELVES. :gonk:
Closing doors behind me : /
I do this in Amnesia all the time.
Also in minecraft, I try to find wood and coal as soon as fucking possible.
That's not OCD, that's survival.
For all you that have ammo obsessive compulsions, (including me) Metro 2033 is a nightmare. "Oh, 98 pre-war bullets, that's such an uneven number. I guess I'll fire off a few. There, 90 bullets! That's such a nice, round number." Later, at the next gunshop "WHAT, 97 BULLETS FOR THAT FFFFFFFUUUUUU-"
Do not quicksave if my health is not 100. If it IS, quicksave every time I do something. Also in games like Age of Empires, there must be no black on the mini map.
Everything must be orderly, I will not accept chaos in my inventory Asymmetry is unacceptable Attempt to open every single door no matter how obviously inaccessible it is In Mount&Blade, I cannot have mixed faction armies Always throw two grenades Starcraft, I must always build Zerg units in groups of six or twelve, only exception is early in the game Reload or fire off a few shots if the amount of rounds left doesn't end in zero or five [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] Also, all of this.
I like my ammo to be a multiple of my gun's ammo capacity. So if my gun holds 30 bullets, 60, 90, 240 and 300 rounds is fine, but 250 isn't. If the game has a map where more of it gets exposed as you explore, I have to have all of the map to be visible. If the game has iron sights, I use them 100% of the time. Firing a shotgun at point blank? Better use iron sights! If I'm trying to hit an enemy from far away, I will crouch regardless of whether or not that actually increases my accuracy. If I'm using a sniper rifle, every shot must be a headshot regardless of whether or not a single shot will kill my enemy anyways. If the game has a weight limit or some other limitation on what you can carry, I set up stashes full of shit I never use, just because I don't want to sell any of it.

Red Dead Redemption, skin everything EVERYTHING
Fuck that shit. Hogtie everyone.
Must Check everything in a map...Everything! from the sparkle lights, to the things I can find in a draw
New one. Just cause 2, I always have the urge, and make the attempt, to dual hook a Panauan soldier to one of the gas canisters that takes of like a rocket at the gas stations.
Wasted large amounts of ammo / health for something simple, I feel like loading some previous save and see if I can do better
one down, run and hide , quick save : another down, run and hide, quick save. i play on easiest level and can't help myself but to play like a pussy. been playing for many years, still forget to reload in situation where pre - reloading is fucking obvious. it takes 2-3 blank shooting attempt and seconds for me to realize i have to reload. happens everytime and being a pussy doesn't help
play on the hardest difficulty possible. collect everything, have everything, unlock everything, organize everything - this can be proved by my tf2 backpack.
Reload every single time I kill anything ever. Or even if I don't kill anything, I just reload.
