Depends if you want a media center or straight gaming console. 360 has a greater variety of games and arguably better online service, while the PS3 has a Blu-ray player and free online play.
It comes down to what you'd want to do with your console.

Outside of Kinect I'd have to disagree, 360 lacks exclusives.

True, 360 doesn't have as many exclusives as PS3, but the exclusives it does have are almost all spectacular games. PS3 exclusives are very hit-and-miss, imo.

Timeshift is on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
Honestly, it doesn't matter which of the two. I do think the 360 has a much nicer controller. Either one, just get Dark Souls.
I prefer PS3, much better exclusives, free internet, nice features (netflix, browser, PlayStation Home) and the interface is a lot nicer, they have cool games and sales on their PS Store too. The only thing I really liked about the 360 was that SOME of the exclusives were cool and I liked the avatars.

If you have a PC that runs games, just wait.
If not, I'd recommend a PS3, and I've owned both and enjoyed them both. It's just my opinion though as a gigantic MGS fanboy probably :v:

I usually never reply to such, but that's honestly as if I said "Get a ps3 because xbox gets RROD all the time". In other words something from the past.
Sad that I have to skip to the PS4.
Now theres a gap in my ownership of playstations :(

I wouldn't bother getting PS3 after the PS4's release, there won't be any support for anything on there, so you can only use PS Store as an online feature to download old stuff, really.
One thing that I really hope will be on the PS4 is importing your PS3 PS Home account to the PS4 PS Home.
