mario games
All of them? Mario is a huge franchise, so you can't just say every one of them is overrated. They tend to have different gameplay features.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
The game didn't change how you did things like raiding/dungeons at all.
I expected Playable grunts, marines, brutes,
Why would you expect that?
Left 4 Dead
I disagree. I wasn't the biggest Oblivion fan, but maybe that's just me.
Same, I truly hated oblivion with a passion. Loved fallout though.
Just Cause 2..
I never played it, but I saw it. It's ridiculous how he can take hundreds of bullets and can just fling himself up in the sky.

Also lmao the minecraft i almost vomited
Brawl.
It got overhyped and i still prefer Melee to it, but i do enjoy Brawl+, but Brawl+ requires a tiny bit of modding so it has nothing to do with just the normal version of Brawl.

But CoD4 was great
Call of Duty (anything past 4 and WaW). Terraria, Minecraft. Elder Scrolls games.
- CoD:MW2 (Jumping on the bandwagon here)
- The Darkness (It was a pretty big disappointment)
- Turok (2008. In short, it sucked ass.)
- Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (The videogame, it wasn't challenging and very boring.)
Most of the games today
Oooohhh look new graphics what the fucking awesome shit! Ohhhh what a story it has (I mean single player). Oh my god it has a so great multi player system everyone will play it only in mp!
IMO, I don't like a great deal of games because there is rarely a game that has a great story, great looks, great playing experience in single and multi player modes. Either way most of the games lack one of these things today. I'm okay with shittier graphics if the game gives me a great experience though.
Dead Space 2 is a perfect example of a great singleplayer, an impressive story (many things I didn't expect while playing through it,) decent graphics (even if they are somewhat polished from DS1,) and a very fun multiplayer. The only downside is that if you have to buy a code to access it. Which seems very, very, very unnecessary.
Hello Kitty online.
HomeFront.
Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl.
I am so tired of hearing my acquaintances go on about it like it's some sort of holy relic.
Bunch of fags.
Also, the first 2 or 3 generation of Pokemon games. People go on and on about how the series has lost it's way and all the games are shit now. The games are just as good, if not better than they've ever been. The gameplay and systems behind it has been continuously improved upon with each iteration. The actual design of the pokemon are gay, the game itself is great.
Mass Effect. Both.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010.
Rubbish.
Worms Reloaded was also fairly dissapointing (even though I still like to play it from time to time) compared to Armageddon.
Minecraft and Terraria.

I've always preferred the Burnout series to the NFS series, personally.
That game isn't overrated or anything.
Although that could be because it was a awful game.
After paradise, criterion really dropped the ball on what could have been a badass remake.
Bunch of fags.
I see you think highly about the people you hang out with.
Battlefield 3. gonna be good though.

It was hyped up to be just like the series was before Underground fucked everything up, it left lot of people were extremely disappointed. The only relation it had to the older games was the cars.
also... I'd say Amnesia: The dark descent.
I never found it scary... It had that good atmosphere but really nothing else
I personally think Gran Turismo 5 was way overhyped. Sure, it had over 1000 different cars, Ferraris featured for the first time in series, official WRC license, dynamic weather, car body damage and all that... yet still, it turned out to be a huge let down.
Of the 1000 cars in the game, only about 200 of them featured a cockpit view (as they were "premium" cars; standard cars were pretty much reused models from the earlier games with much less visual flare to them), and the car damage was just awfully unrealistic (ie. you could ram your car to the wall at 200 kph and get just a little dent on the front bumper).
I really hope that Polyphony learns from these minor mistakes and makes Gran Turismo 6 what 5 should really have been.
Well, Duke Nukem Forever was overhyped until we discovered the terrible reality.
Racing games in general are extremely overrated in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, racing games are usually the best looking games on the market, but it's just the same fucking game every time, you know?
Eh. I think the same about most FPS games. Guess it all comes down to personal preferences.
Racing games in general are extremely overrated in my opinion.
Nope. They're quite underrated.
Except for NFS.
ff13
Angry Birds, Halo

The damage is meant to get worse as you level up, although I don't know how effective it is. GT5 upset me too after the brilliant GT4, I think the developers were a little too ambitious adding 1000 cars. I'm sticking to Forza till the next one.
