I like this arc because it looks like it will have a focus on the best character in the anime.
I feel that the recent development will be especially hard on her because it seems that [sp]she bases her entire life around maintaining her own self-control, which explains why she's so to the point all the time. Control is probably what is keeping her from self-destruction, or at least what she thinks is the case. If this is true, then this new arc basically threatens literally everything she has built her self-image upon.[/sp]
It'll be interesting how this one goes, that's for sure.

Taichi x Iori has been stated as the canon relationship so far, but I still think that [sp]Taichi x Inaba may be the real main couple for the series as a whole. No real, concrete basis so far, but we may make some headway in this arc because the concept of love is closely entwined with a sense of losing control, which I've already stated is my guess as to what this arc will be about.[/sp]

I think it works in its favor in that regard. The whole tone of the show would be disjointed if it took itself slower, in my opinion.

People wanted a healing magical girl show from SHAFT and here it is. I'm prepared to put away the cynic in me if it turns out to be a fun show and it doesn't make me feel like a total creep for watching it.

It's definitely slating up to be more of a creep magical girl show more than anything else this time around. Standard three middle-school girl premise, nude transformations, and check out how much attention they're putting on a beach episode already.
