Actually if they took out all the fanservice the story itself is pretty good. At least in my opinion.

It has a fairly serious approach to the whole zombie apocalypse thing, though the fanservice is ridiculous and the acquisition of military hardware is kind of strange. If it cut the fanservice by 3/4 it'd be a good show, as it is the focus on ~plot~ instead of plot ruined it.

CUT IT.
HOTD did not have a single good merit to it's story and plot except for the very first episode. Everything after that was just a trainwreck of a story sloppily put together to show as much action (without actually showing any action) and tits and ass as possible.
