italki is bullshit wtf. "Write in the language you're learning." How the fuck am I supposed to do that if I can't understand it?
You're meant to know some of the language first, you know.
You're meant to know some of the language first, you know.
Starting a language is the hardest part.
Starting a language is the hardest part.
The thought before learning the language is the hardest part Learning a language isn't as draining or boring as you make it out to be beforehand
You're meant to know some of the language first, you know.
I know "some" of the language. I know hiragana, most katakana, a few kanji, and I can say some words and commonly used sentences. I cannot write an short essay about myself in japanese
It's interesting, i created that thread in GD to dispel myths like these. Language is communication. Some people would argue it is just grammar and vocab. At heart, yes, but thinking like this turns language into a task of memorization, and boring drills. Talking to people, even if you get the verbs in the wrong form. Let's use to be for example. I be good. I'm good. See? I can understand that. Fine too, i can correct his english, and he, subconciously, will say i am next time. Learning through mistakes is fine. It's good. It's how we learn. Grammar is not so much as a neccesity as a semi-optional counterpart to vocab. Vocab is the true king. If i do not know how to say apple in french, i can not ask. If i only know the infinitve of "to want" (Voulir), i can still say, Je Voulir un pomme. (I want one apple.) It's a bit odd in english, as it makes sence either way, but in french it is like saying, i to be instead of i'm. I hope i've enlightened you. I should got to bed, it's 12:30.
the whole problem can be avoided if you just teach them how vouloir conjugates. vouloir is not a good example since oir verbs are exceptions. if you teach them how to conjugate aimer (to love), then they can easily conjugate passer, travailler, donner, jouer all because of how you can break down the verb easily. i will say that learning by immersion is the best way to get started because that's how i started with french, but you need constant grammar guidance. even after 13 years of french, people i know still do stupid shit like say " j'ai alle" instead of je suis alle

bad BAAAAAAAD
Fanfic what [editline]21st August 2012[/editline] Kurisu's voice is decent, but that's because she's the only normal person there, so it should be easy to pull off
Fanfic what [editline]21st August 2012[/editline] Kurisu's voice is decent, but that's because she's the only normal person there, so it should be easy to pull off
Dude what are you talking about, Daru was fucking excellent. The only one that is painful to hear is Moeka's voice, but it fits her personality pretty spot on.
I didn't say his was bad But yeah Moeka's voice is bad
"They are the OTP in the fanfic I call my life" Haha oh god, I love Daru.
kurisus was bad
Kurisu's and Mayuri's voices makes me want to cry myself to sleep every night.
I don't understand why they changed the tsundere line If you're watching anime you'll be more likely to know what that is than OTP [editline]21st August 2012[/editline] Are they doing the thing where dubs refuse to acknowledge the setting Let's go to TIMES SQUARE to get some JELLY DOUGHNUTS at the NORMAL CAFE
I don't understand why they changed the tsundere line If you're watching anime you'll be more likely to know what that is than OTP
I actually don't know what OTP is. ;~; brb. Google.
