Would anyone be able to recommend some animes that I should watch that incorporate drama/romance/horror? Kind of like Elfen Lied.
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

Fucking this.
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
i must've missed the romance part
drama/tragedy/romance is probably my favourite combination, but not always with tragedy.

Anybody know a good place to get dubbed anime?
Yeah yeah, I know, real men watch it subbed but I can't stand most female Japanese voices. For now.
Grow some balls and watch some anime
Suggest me some kind of school-slice to watch, guys.
Preferably a comedy.
I already did Azumanga/Lucky Star/K-on/Nichijou

School Rumble
Hidamari Sketch
Pani Poni Dash
Daily Lives of Highschool Boys (Enjoying school life after school)
Cromartie High School (doesn't become more sliced life of comedy school)
Green Green (school in how to get chicks and getting raped by bears)
Excel Saga (I believe it is staged in a school at some point)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (school of life)
Mars of Destruction (a school crash course in how (not) to do things)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (school of life)
That's not a school.
If you count out the 22nd or so episode.

Okay, thanks.
I think I will try Cromartie and Highschool boys, because I've heard about them before.

Do what we all do and visit a store that sells those kinds of things and look for anime.
Or you can buy them from an online site. Just look for dubbed DVD or Bluray whatever you use.
got windows 7 after almost a decade of dealing with XP, i am ready to anime
hmm
isn't Sayonara zetsubou sensei a slice of life?
That's not a school.

I think you completely missed out on why there are spaces between the shows.
I also think you completely forgot to read what was said (in the parentheses).

Not really. But very few shows are. (Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh is NOT AT ALL slice of life, much for the same reasons I'll mention for SZS here)
SZS is a pure comedy with some slice of life elements to it. But all in all almost every situation is delivered with punchlines, flashing backgrounds and what not, there are a lot of comedy effects that's unrealistic, as well as situations and characters.
All in all there is nothing slice of life about SZS, it's just comedy, but it uses some slice of life elements.
Aria, K-ON, Hyouka and shows like that are slice of life. Aria is a bit of the stretch in some episodes because of the use of magical events, but they are few and far between. These shows does not exaggerate comedy situations and does not bring out events that are unrealistic to happen in real life. Everything that is said and done is done within constraints of reality. You could have filmed it all without any special effects and got the same result.
Are there some hentai-fast anime?

i forgot about your strict guidlines from slice of life
i forgot about your strict guidlines from slice of life
It's SLICE OF LIFE. slice, of, LIFE.
If it's not do-able in real-life then it's not a slice taken from life. It's just comedy, drama, action, or whatever event/happening/situation.

Oh man sorry, I don't have to be here so :S.
In my opinion a Slice of Life is an anime with no real ending plot with very little action and more about characters and their lives and interactions.
Working!! is a anime (off the top of my head)that I feel is a true SoL anime.
But that is my opinion.
Every time I hear Slice-of-life I think Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star.
ALWAYS.
New Binbougami is out, haven't had time to watch it yet.
Still getting over the fact the OP's singer is a dude.
The entire time, I was like, "this chick has a beautiful voice! I'd love to have her sign something one day!" Then, I found out...disappointment...

Slice of life is a show without a story but a focus on the daily events of the characters.
As long as the characters aren't exaggerated to hell and back with their personalities and the jokes/events aren't prounounciated with flashing backgrounds or any other masturbatory effects to tell you that "HEY THIS IS WHERE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY YOU CAN LAUGH NOW" then it's slice of life.

That's called action, comedy, drama, romance, sci-fi, adventure, history, horror, etc etc.
Slice of life is called slice of life because it's a look at, a slice of life. It takes a piece of life and shows it. It's all in the name. Life is life, not fiction.
Andy Warhole could work as an example of slice of life in art. That overrated cunt.
Life is life, not fiction.
but all anime is fiction
but all anime is fiction
The point of slice of life is that it simulates life, not fiction.
Of course it's fucking fiction, it's drawings with voices and sound over them, that's completely unrelated.
Me and some friends decided to watch Evangelion last night after a few drinks. Man was that a huge mistake. Only two of us had seen it before, and the plot's hard enough to follow when you're sober
What the hell. I just had a dream where I got raped by Chie Satonaka.
I don't even like Chie.
Would it be rape if you liked her?
