So I was wandering around Hyde Park yesterday and came across a bunch of kids dancing really badly to some anime song /jpop. They were some really ragtag bunch which was like 50% girls and 50% spergy guys. Two of the girls were in OTT gothic lolita outfits. They looked like completely dickheads I was trying not to laugh because I was with a girl and she thought it was sweet.

Houtarou from Hyouka has a weird fashion sense A handbag and a low cut shirt
I spy a closet... Oh wait, it's Japan.
You should have told them to watch a REAL anime like Samurai Champloo or Afro Sumurai
It almost would have been alright if they were actually dancing well but holy shit they were all out of sync, missing moves and kept bumping in to each other.

I don't think they're aiming for a broadway show with thousands of hours of practice.

I'll ridicule them in my mind, that'll show them haha!"
They were all around my age (20, probably a little younger). I hope they upload the video to youtube so I can find it and show you all how painfully bad it was. I'm not against people having fun, they were just so stilted and awkward. They just smacked of spergy anime club who only hung out with each other because they wouldn't mock each other for liking anime.

They're adults.
Personally I don't really classify people as adults until they're like out-of-university age. Should have made it clearer how old they were in my original post.

You used the elementary school age term to describe 18-20 year olds. An age group you're in yourself. [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline] New Space Brothers episode 22 (after it's 1 week halt) got me teary eyed. I just fucking love the atmosphere and authencity this show has. It all feels and seems so natural. No mention of Armstrong anywhere though, bummer.

just got back from 3 days in gothenburg i missed you, anime. In gothenburg i went to the scifi bookstore to look at the manga section, they had removed most good manga i was willing to buy so i just looked around, I was a bit tempted for some of the really thick compilations but i had read most of them already. The females browsing manga were awful as usual being loud and screaming about naruto
Kyosougiga Episode 1 is out. Just as silly as the OVA. Definitely watching this season. [sp]Her little brothers turn into DRAGONS, man.[/sp] And SAO has definitely picked up in terms of action and whatevers. Bumped it from 7-8. Next episode better have an awesome as hell fight.
Kyosougiga Episode 1 is out.
Oh, nice. Dat quality. Damn ONA's and the staff's lack of knowledge about compression.
Is watching the ONA required?
Is watching the ONA required?
I think it's mentioned in the episode when I did a skim, but the ONA is FUN, watch that when you have time

The ONA (Kyousogiga 2) is the series. The OVA isn't really required to watch. But there is no reason not to watch it.
I'll try to watch both then. Also @ep22 Spacebros, wow why isn't this show in the top 10 on MAL, this show is so fucking amazing. It almost doesn't feel like an anime, it feels too real. I love it
It almost doesn't feel like an anime, it feels too real. I love it
It feels authentic, not real. There is absolutely nothing real about the coincidences and extreme amounts of luck Mutta has.
Not to mention everyone speaking Japanese at all times [sp]in America[/sp].
What, every one in the US speaks the glorious Nippon language you baka gaijin
I wonder what'd happen if the whole world spoke the same language
Alright so I watched the OVA for Kyousougiga... So basically what I understood was that... Umm... A big plastic hammer and colours everywhere. And a [sp]lesbain kiss[/sp]. So I can see myself liking this.
I wonder what'd happen if the whole world spoke the same language
That would be amazing. Lots of things would be easier, but that will probably never happen.
I wonder what'd happen if the whole world spoke the same language
To some degree, many of the Earth's population does speak English, or at least some form of dialect of it.
It almost doesn't feel like an anime, it feels too real. I love it
now i gotta post this im sure you all understand the intro or you fail as webbos
