I agree. It's funny because I watched the first episode long ago and didn't like it but a month or so later i watched the 2nd and I started to get interested and I'm glad I did. I like how they each try to help each other to get with the other's friend. Not an original idea but they pulled it off.

Yeah it matters because we use it when people want something recommended, and I know a handful of members that have popped in for a moment and said they had checked out most shows on the OP and wanted some more. Others simply uses the thread for the OP and not more (not many I would assume, but one is enough).
It also lowered the amount of people jumping in to the thread only to ask for recommandations. And I like having it there because it can help people get a more sane view on anime, as in, yeah it's shit, and yeah we think it's shit, but it has it's shows, and here are some of those.
