A week long ban isn't that bad. You can still lurk the forums as a guest. At least that's what I did.
Though I'm not sure if the ban length is extended for repeat offenders.
You can lurk on the forums as a guest- but mostly if not all the time... Fast threads are usually cut off from guests for traffic reasons.
