Don't godgrubbing watch the dub.
What's wrong with you?
"I've never seen it before so I'm going to ruin the whole first impression and the show as a whole by watching a shitty dub".
[QUOTE=Fish_poke;37569739]My friend is going to get the BLU-RAY BOX and we are gonna watch the dub. Mostly because neither of us have seen it.[/QUOTE]
If you watch S;G for the first time dubbed I will murder you
[editline]7th September 2012[/editline]
this is a valid death threat
Definitely. I'm one of the people who actually thinks the dub is pretty good, and even I say don't watch it dubbed first.
You're all implying I haven't already watched it and that I'm not just watching it for the novelty of having it in my native language.
regardless- the dub is pretty terrible.

Also part of the reason I am watching it, actually. I like listening to bad dubs of things I have already seen. It is gonna be me and two of my pals watching it and basically making fun of the bad voice acting the entire time.

whos that one guy who told me a thing or two- hes good at this shit.
speaking of anime watching, me and a few friends are going to watch all of madoka magica on saturday
it's going to be from like 7:00pm to who knows when we'll sleep, but does anyone have any other suggestions for stuff to watch if we run out? i doubt we'll get tired after 12 episodes, so i'm thinking about watching another short series
How short of a series? I'd recommend something like FLCL it you're looking for 4 episodes short.
12 or less episodes would probably be good
maybe some good movies, although we've seen like every miyazaki movie
i wanted to watch the haruhi suzumiya one, but my friends haven't watched the series
Midori days was pretty good for humor IMO. 13 episodes long, and I thought it was pretty hilarious.

Toyota Nissan
There's this kid I know who just dropped Ano Hana halfway into episode 1, saying it's boring.
Sigh. This is just like that one time this fat guy dropped Steins;Gate 10 minutes in, saying he doesn't understand it.

Pretty sure this is the kind of anime everyone likes in this thread.

If you watch the dub I'll hunt you down and force you to watch it subbed, twice in a row.
Don't do this to me.
You'll kill a kitten for every episode you watched dubbed.

Well, you said yourself that you didn't watch it.

I'll have to watch this now. It's only a 30 minute OVA.
J Michael Tatum just doesn't have the same presence or star power like Mamoru Miyano has.
The story in Steins;Gate is fucking amazing without a doubt, but the characters really make the show. When you have an all around average to mediocre cast, you're going to have some pissed off fans.
I still think the dub is absolutely terrible, but if people are exposed to Steins;Gate because of Funimation, I'm all for it.
Finished all of Bōnen no Xamdou, and man I love finding gems like these. So god damn good.

I really enjoyed it but it lost it's way towards the end of the series. Was kinda going nowhere then suddenly wrapped everything up in like, 2 episodes.
[editline]7th September 2012[/editline]
Also it makes me want to rewatch Eureka 7.
They're not by the same studio are they?

Both by Bones if I remember correctly.
Makes sense. There were a lot of visual cues that I recognised from Eureka 7.
