no seriously .hack//sign you could literally skip 2-3 episodes and you would've been left on the same page. or extremely close to the point where you can practically fill in the blanks. SAO seems pretty damn good, but I fear that something sad will happen eventually. Which I'm usually afraid of.
SAO's first episode was great. I'm hoping it doesn't end up like Mirai Nikki which started out just as awesome but gradually got worse.

"dgg is stuck in SAO. Level: 4. Dies 1 year in as a sacrifice for party members."
"Orkel is stuck in SAO. Level: 5. Dies 13 months in while killing mobs."
"chunkymonkey is stuck in SAO. Level: 31. Dies 18 months in due to crappy party members."
Reag is stuck in SAO. Level: 14. Dies 3 days in after falling off a cliff.
I tried to fly.
Orkel recommended I watch through Macross: Zero, and Macross: Frontier a while back. I saw there was another series, Macross 7. Is that one worth picking up and watching, or should I forget about it?
Anybody?
Anybody?
I don't like 7. Some here do.
"Ben is stuck in SAO. Level: 27. Dies half a year in during a boss fight."
Man im bad
But wait.
"KillerKid is stuck in SAO. Level: 99. Dies 22 months in due to crappy party members."

What the fuck am I watching
Can be considered major plot spoilers (concerns the setting of the LN and anime, nothing character related) but apparently in the Sword Art Online light novels, after[sp]clearing Aincrad in SAO, the remaining players all migrate to a new VMMORG (there are two others if I remember). The main difference being that dying in the other two games won't result in death in the real world. I wouldn't mind having the entire series take place in Aincrad considering there are a fucking hundred levels needed to be cleared, but I'm pretty optimistic the transition to an entirely new world will be handled well. [/sp]
Just finished the 4th episode of Katanagatari. Last 5 minutes made me gnash my teeth. Successfully trolled.
I don't like 7. Some here do.
any particular reason you didn't like it?

casuals
I approve, ironically enough, I don't see Sword Art Online working as a traditional MMO, even if they made it F2P.
When you take away the main conflict, it's just a run of the mill MMO after all.
It fits as an action RPG much better.
BUT IS THAT PSP!?
That means EU and US won't get it...PSP is more or less dead in US as far as I know.

I love it so far, except that Kyon has fallen into the typical overreaction thing. For example, when he hears that his friend knows about Haruhi, he freaks out and attacks him.

Yeah except the [sp]end of Aincrad stank all kinds of shit. In my opinion, I feel that going through Aincrad for the first half and finishing the series after Fairy Dance would be the best course of action.[/sp]
Never seen Haruhi, so no point in me watching the movie yet I suppose, since having read up what it's about, I'll be missing a lot if I watch just the movie.
Finished K-On! along with the specials and those rubbish little Uraon things. I'll start season 2 at a later date. Starting Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 and continuing my Tiger & Bunny rewatch in the meantime though.
Kayaba Akihiko is stuck in SAO. Level: 49. Dies 3 months in while killing mobs.
So the creator himself can't beat his own game.
