Because it's not romance, it's harem.
And like I put in the example, Clannad is a harm show, but it still choses a focus, thus effectively also can be classified as a romance show.
Romance is love between two characters. Harem is a bunch of chicks loving a man and the man being undecisive and not chosing anyone, and if he does, then in most cases he only chooses one at the end (in some he chooses everyone). That's not IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM romantic.

There is nothing slice of life about Nichijou. The name itself is a parody of what it exactly isn't.
Every comedic scene is blown out of proportion.
Unless people start shooting lazer beams out of their mouths, knock down policemen with karate-chops and encountering robots is a daily life occurence then Nichijou isn't slice of life.
I don't think you can call Nichibros a slice of life aswell
If you're gonna vote for Nichijou then put it under Comedy.

Except for that one Gundam scene at the very start of the very first episode (that wasn't a thing that happened in their life but was a comedical story to start off the show on the wrong foot) there wasn't any unrealistic (highly unlikely, but not unrealistic) events that happened. Comedical scenes weren't masturbated with flashing backgrounds and character altering effects either.

Turned out to be even more dramatic talk and no action except for two scenes with some action but mostly dipshit moral faggotry let's hold speeches instead of doing stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing this show end, it started off as a magnificent show and then just dwindled down to being a shit show.
This is why shounen showsa are terrible. Makes a story with lots of potential, ruins it by doing retarded speeches and last-minute-saves-by-people-that-weren't-there-and-never-would-in-a-realistic-setting. Also "let's explain the reason something can happen for 5 minutes before we go on with the show so that our setting seems more complex and the completely unrealistic event we just showed you sort of makes sense despite being completely retarded even with this explanation".

Both. It has some exaggerations and masturbated moments, but overall it is pretty slice of life and they don't do anything outside of realities boundaries. Obviously it is comedy because they make situational jokes all the time.
