Agreed. Fans can ruin an anime.
heh yuru yuri 12 was great

I hope they make a decision on the production of an S3.
The music in Yuru Yuri, [sp]snow white part, made me think of pokemon.[/sp]

I haven't seen season 2 but I still want a season 3
I really like how the show started progressed back in time by the episodes from ep 8 or something, turning what could have been the introduction of the show into an explanation of how it all came to be near the end. It's neat.
The order of time in the series was fascinating, and both orders work fairly well if you watch through it. Although in my opinion both orders seem to be lacking a sufficient ending, so I do hope they come out with a second season. This is one of my favorite series now and I really want to see more episodes.
After working through the series, this would be chronological order:
10, 9, 11, 12, 7, 8, 3, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2
Explanation as to why:
[sp]If you'll notice at the beginning of episode 1, her hair is cut, which happened at the end of episode 6. This means that episode 6 comes directly before episode 1 chronologically, and seeing as her hair didn't freak the fuck out by being "alive" from episode 2, it didn't come after episode 2.
episode 10 is the first chronologically as it has no opening, describes the character, and sets up the main framework for what fairies are. I put #9 next, as she's dealing with the exploding fairy population that happened in #10, and 11/12 seems to be fairly early on into the story and has to be before she meets either the assistant or that white-haired girl. This is because she's narrating her experience as it happened in the past from her desk in a memory sequence.[/sp]
The one flaw that really stuck out for me with the anime was how [sp]the fairies say they would essientially die from the electronic waves from the satellite in episode 5, yet they make an electricity generator earlier in episode 9. Or maybe it's just due to the fact that the electricity was being... sent from space?[/sp]

Jesus Christ, the Welcome to the NHK manga is just one never-ending spiral of spaghetti and depression.
The anime is great, but seems so lightweight in comparison to what I've read so far.

I think it's a Japanese thing. There apparently was a hubbub about EM waves being dangerous with the introduction of wireless; but nobody minds electricity.

Watch this show, I thought it was pretty good.
Thought it would be Idolm@ster IN SPAAACE, but goddamn did it surprise me during its short run.
So I heard that based on his twitter posts in the last month, the author to SAO has played the following MMOs:
Ultima Online
Phantasy Star Online
Ragnarok Online
Dungeons & Dragons Online
Perfect World
World of Warcraft
Dragon Nest

Ultima Online
Holy shit. That explains EVERYTHING.
Perfect World is an awful MMO
looks pretty though
Then why does it feel like it's written by someone who has never played a video game before?

I had a very good time playing it, met plenty of nice people, but the grind was fucking awful.

One of the people I met back then. :v:
I also remember pming with some young "girl". We said what we would do together if we met and stuff. Hilarous thinking about it now. Although it could've been a male. Either way, we stopped pming after she had to leave for 2 weeks or so with her parents somewhere for a trip IIRC.

I don't know what you're talking about? It feels pretty much like a video game to me.
A video game where you die if you get killed mind you

Wish there were more games like that.
You die? Game over. Start a new character and try again.
Wouldn't attract many players, though.
By the way, the author wrote the first web novel to SAO back in 2002 when he was 15 years old. Some food for thought.
I just can't handle all the bad vidya magik deus ex machinas
But that doesn't directly go with your original argument.
I could go through all the episodes again and list everything that wouldn't make sense in a video game but I can't be arsed
All the plot devices feel like they're made for that specific scene, and not a part of the actual world
Your second point is legit considering they decided to add in a bunch of side stories that don't directly interact with the main story. But I'm curious about the first, what's getting you all tied up with the mechanics?
