That's what I thought, but I watched the first episode anyway.
Goemon and Nobuna both make it enjoyable, plus the MC's vast knowledge of the Sengoku games is both funny and useful(like economic dominance and resource management).

honestly I have no idea what Sunrise was aiming for with it. The first arc was meh, second arc was good, third arc was meh, and the fourth arc was what the fuck. It had a decent plot, just executed extremely poorly.

It wasn't terrible by any standard, however there was a hype leading up to its airing about how it was going to be radically different and amazing, only for it to end up being somewhat generic.
A case of wasted potential/false hype, anime is still without a savior.

Given the scale of the world within the show, it could have lasted well over two or three seasons.
I was really disappointed when Clain and Nessa only[sp]stayed in Xanadu for a single episode[/sp]
They could have provided more of a backstory for the Temple and the multiple factions of Lost Millenium, but nope. Shit had to be wrapped up in 11 episodes.
Still was an entertaining show for me, finished it in a single night if I recall.

But I agree, we've recently had a lot of new users who seem to blatantly disregard the OP and the other classics, and get their first impressions of "good anime" off whatever is airing the current season. Which is wrong.
