I'm too shy to sing just like that

Well now we know what we have to do.
[editline]26th September 2012[/editline]
Anyone know any anime songs that would be great to sing while drunk?

You record it on your own, and you will drown in the crowd. What is there to be shy about?

(yes, you can take the bra off)
So basically, you guys are saying you're going to make a chorus that's even worse than the typical youtube chorus because it will consist of completely males who will sing songs in a language they don't even know the pronounciation of?
Well, at least you know you need someone who can mix well, so it's worth a try as long as you put deadlines on the thing anyway. No deadlines = no lines given in.
Rather than a chorus the entire way through, I assume we'd use a single person's voice for a couple lines and then switch off to another, which is how /a/ sings does it, and that seems to work out pretty well; the only time all voices would be present would be for the actual chorus section.

I hadn't actually thought of this. I was thinking all the voices at the same time, but your idea sounds pretty good, too.

We could always do both.
Every person sings the whole song for one video.
Some guy cuts the voices into parts for the other video where we only get one voice at a time.

/a/ does this for almost all of their karaokes.
We'll have our own Youtube channel as well. I'll make us a gmail account and set it up.
and all donations can go straight to my paypal

Apparently there already is a user called FastAnime, even one called FastAnime1.
Speaking of /a/ sings, you could try getting in touch with bedfordstrangler, he organizes and mixes them (in addition to making mad weaboo rhymes).
Happy birthday Orkel, I hope you'll enjoy you Humble Bundle!
how thoughtful :h:
Me computer is too shite to run fockin' 1080p, the audio keeps chopping like a wanker in a kitchen.

720p > shitty 1080p upscales
Even BD releases usually aren't very good.
Also, what player are you using? I can manage 1080p on my tiny HTPC in Mplayer2, i'm sure MPC-HC could do similar
Are we going to sing just the OP version of the song, or do the full one?
I kind want us to do the full one, just because, fuck it.

If the 1080p is an upscale of 720p (or anything lower for that case) then in 95% of the times it's wastly worse and ugly looking. They love slapping on shitty filters to make it look cleaner and sharper, but in turn makes it shitter and wobblier in the linework, completely ruining it.
Watching a high quality 720p and sharpening it with a filter/shader and have it upscaled by the player is so much better than have a program upscale it and making it shitty and blurry.

It all depends on a per song basis. If people want to sing the TV version, then we'll go TV and vice versa
