Another handy tip is to try and sing and keep up with the lyrics, or just mumble whenver they sing. That way you get a vocal-only track and you can see where to sing and where not to, the bababababa part gets lots of small cuts so you can easily see that you're supposed to be bapping because the audio-wave is cut up constantly.

Actually. Export your files to FLAC, as it seems Audacity supports that as well.
Made my file go from 90MB at .WAV to 16MB at .FLAC
Also when recording, leave a few seconds on the start or end completely silent, just letting your background noise run. I can use that to remove the noise throughout the whole footage.
