Is Claymore any good? I dropped it after ep2 a while ago but my friend constantly whines that I should watch it and that it's amazing. I hope it gets better but I want some more opinions

Yes I am playing it and having some difficulty understanding what I am doing, but clicking random buttons seems to work well most of the time. (Also finding a weeb friend who can read about 50% of the text made everything much easier)

I went to Japan a couple weeks ago for two weeks. Akiba was cool, and I bought a couple Touhou CDs. I actually didn't buy much other anime/manga stuff and focused mostly on learning. It did spark me to finish some stuff on my backlog.
Currently I'm watching Oreimo per friend's request. I actually liked the little Kyousuke and Manami episode (Episode 6) the most. Kirino is just an annoyance, and all the other characters are a lot better.
Who else watched this?

I would recommend the manga personally, but yeah it is rather good.
Watched Genius Party + Beyond, was fun to watch but not really my cup of tea. I do understand why people like it a lot though.

As Moreto mentioned, the manga is a lot better, but the anime is still worth watching. Just to take note, the anime has its own original ending, though the general plot and story remains the same until the near end of the anime where the plot deviates from the manga's. If you plan on continuing to follow the story after the anime ends, you won't have to look too hard to know where exactly to start off in the manga.

It isn't out on DVD yet, but from what I've heard, not really no. The plot is the usual Yoshika mary sue-ing about the place, almost half the OST is from S1&2 and it isn't any better animated.
I'll still watch it for the character cameos and [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivy4os8hxl8]because it has the best OP,[/url] but my expectations are pretty low even by SW standards.
