Well I think it fits the theme of the anime because during the start, being a magical girl is (plot spoilers)[sp]portrayed as something good, heroic, fighting evil, all that[/sp] but as the show progresses, [sp]It's slowly revealed that being a magical girl is a lot more cruel than it seems to be and not a good thing at all[/sp], which is represented with the ED. I guess I could analyze what I think of the OP but I'll do that once I'm finished.
