there are 4 of the specials out right now
still 2 more to be released
i'll be back.
highschool dxd is awful
thats the funny part. it was absolutely nothing but fanservice and a mediocre plot.
Getting my friend to watch other animes besides just the ones that showed on Toonami made him act just like the male supporting characters in ecchi animes. Not even joking, he acts just like that blonde hair dude in Highschool Dxtits.
but I still watched it. Won't deny that.
also please hit your friend.
Manga is cool. Anime is buried in shit
I actually enjoy reading manga much more than watching anime

I enjoy anime more, but sometimes I feel like reading Manga. Plus a few series that are adapted from manga aren't quite as good as the manga (For exapmle, I didn't like Death Note's anime, but the first half of the manga was really good until it's quality dropped halfway through (it did pick up again at the end, though))

Having a mediocre plot puts it one level above Kampfer
Watched the first episode of Deadman Wonderland.
I'm disturbed but also interested.
I was curious about it since I first saw the intro. And yes, the first episode has a strange way of pulling you in.
I wonder if they're going to make another season of K-ON. The manga continues when they're in uni so it wouldn't be too surprising.
[editline]26th July 2012[/editline]
then again it's almost been two years since K-On!! so probably not.
Honestly I hope not. K-ON! ended just fine (haven't seen the movie yet) and I think another season would only be making Kyo-Ani milk the cow dry.

You know what KyoAni needs to do right now?
Nichijou's second season

the movie was a good ending to the series

Some animes I do prefer over manga ex. Samurai Champloo since it is much longer (and actually has a story)
Some shows are a too short compared to the manga, like D N Angel, Inuyahsa and Claymore, there's much more to the story than what the anime shows.. Now that I think about, I'm indifferent about animes and manga, which ever is better is just better, since I don't read as much manga (nor do I have the money to buy manga).. Reading manga online is not so much fun either, rather just watch anime.. (Looks like all I did was reiterate what you said - some animes adapted from manga, I like reading those manga over watching the anime haha)

Surely this is mostly a matter of preferring source material to adaptions

I think I just repeated what had already been said.
So I've seen a lot of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt media floating around Facepunch, and my interest was piqued, especially from the sounds I heard. The soundtrack is pretty fucking awesome, but is this anime worth my time? I love what Gainax has put out (FLCL, Gurren Lagann, etc), but I'm wondering if Panty & Stocking has stayed true to Gainax's ways.

I liked it a lot, especially the soundtrack.

It's pretty funny, and I seem to be the only soul who really hates the dub.
Is that Yui's thing between Yuru Yuri s2 scenes reference to hack series?

Huh, their tastes aren't actually too bad
I just finished watching the first season of Inital D.
I never thought a series about a sport i didn't like would be so entertaining.

If you want what looks like an american cartoon which has corpus amounts of sex, obscenities, and general crudeness, go ahead. In my opinion, it's very funny, even though I am not really a fan of that much crudeness.
The dub is alright.
