that moment when he found out what Ka-pe means was so touching...
my heart was crying tears
Deeper than your mother at least.
Well, yeah I guess you could to some extent classify it as deep. But not really.
But it's got a story, a plot and problems. It's not a fanservice show.
Then i watch it.

I like Kenji's character even more thanks to that episode.
Turns out he learned about space the same way I learned zoology :v:
should I watch kokoro connect
I watched the first episode, its alright in my opinion. Seems like one of those shows you'd want to watch while winding down a bit.

I was also not aware the subbed version of dog days episode 4 was out.
I've been wanting to try out a good anime lately.
Something that isn't inane, something that doesn't have schoolgirls or tentacles or cute stuff, an anime for grown-up's if you will.
Anyone got anything in mind? Possibly something in the drama genre.

Aoi Bungaku
Paranoia Agent
Bartender
Mushishi
Planetes
Cowboy Bebop
Nana to some degree.

isn't insane, doesn't have cute stuff and is for grown ups.
Steins Gate does not fit any of those criterias just because it involves death.
Was considering watching Ergo Proxy at some point, anybody seen it? How is it?
I find kokoro connect hard to understand, I suck with names
Was considering watching Ergo Proxy at some point, anybody seen it? How is it?

It's so fucking confusing at the start.
I'm starting to slowly understand it, but still.
I love the theme, though.
Also, Pino is so adorable.

Finally finished Ergo Proxy. Watched more anime than I did in the past two weeks.
Good anime, albeit very confusing sometimes, and the two filler episodes were odd.
It was a bit slow at times.
Has anyone seen Baki Grappler?

heh.. I still remember asking for a recommendation for an anime, and somebody told me Boku no Pico.
being the dumbass that I was... I didn't even bother looking up what it was. So I was sitting here watching the first episode thinking, "why does this look so damn familiar." till' I saw somethin nasty, and then it all came to me. I then proceeded to look back on the post that was made HERE, only to see it was rated around 6 funnies (when I first saw the post, it didn't have any ratings.) So then I went to youtube to find that 3-4 year old video about that go yelling, "YOOOOOOOOOOO..."
oh what a day that was.

Maybe the day I turn 40, for no real reason.

rip in peace dgg
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
Watching Akira based on ILY's recommendation. I'm 16 minutes into it and it's great so far.
One of my favorite parts about it is the animation. It's amazing and dynamic and I heard it pushed anime to a new standard.
I might watch Aoi Bungaku, seeing as it happened to get mentioned twice. Haven't really checked into it yet though.
Aoi Bungaku by itself is kind of mediocre excluding one or two stellar arcs, but what I truly like about it is that it convinces a lot of people to read the original works they're based on which is a really cool thing.
I hope they include the 2 years worth of semen part
it wasn't even included in the LN so take a guess

I'm going to watch Space Bros after it finishes airing because it's too far in for me to pick up now
[editline]29th July 2012[/editline]
What other airing shows just now are really worth watching? I probably have enough already, but watching tons of airing sows is much easier than watching it after it's finished, so I don't mind.
Binbougami-ga! and Oda Nobuna no Yabou

That's what I was thinking with Arashi no Yoru ni, but then I saw that it's going to be 52 episodes long, so I figure if I'm ever going to watch it, I'll have to catch up to it where it is now. I can't imagine it'll be very good, but I just want to keep hearing Ozu's voice at least, and happy animals just get me. Not sure how you can stretch out this for 52 episodes though, going on what I imagine it'll all be about.
And thanks, I'll go see what they're about and whatnot, or just jump in without doing so, since going in with no expectations has served me pretty well in the past.
For example, I started watching The Tatami Galaxy because it was recommended to me on Amazon. It said something like it being comedy and slice of life. I just thought the cover looked neat, and it might be interesting. It's now my favourite series. I still remember being quite confused at the end of the first episode, where everything froze and then immediately rewound.
Summer Wars is my favourite movie, and I bought the DVD because I saw someone saying it was good on a forum, and there were a lot of stars in the reviews. I had it in my head that it was going to be about a bunch of kids having fun and playing games outside in some competition, since all I'd seen of it was the cover of the DVD.

The 2007 manga is still publishing, so I think Space Bros is going to be a pretty long show

Clannad, Kanon and EF has taught me that the bigger the eyes are, the more you'll cry

Oh? Thinking on it, I don't know why I thought so, but I had it in my head that this was going to be 24 episodes long, and so I was very impatient with the third test episode, and confused why it wasn't more rushed. But if it's longer than that, then I suppose it makes sense, and I'm feeling better about the show.
If it actually is 24 eps, then laaaame.
