I don't mind metal but I absolutely hate the lyrics if its just screaming and growling there are too many good metal songs that have been ruined for me because of the screaming

metal is such a varied genre it'd be hard to find a band that you wouldn't like in there. I don't mind harsh vocals, but I'm not a fan if that's all the band does, I like the dynamic of shifting between clean and harsh.

There's a lot of melodic death metal bands that do pretty awesome clean vocals (Mercenary is a great one that comes to mind).

I got the passion for Heavy Metal thanks to Killing Floor.

Persefone also does some good clean vocals, if I remember right.

Body Count - Institutionalized 2014 is 50 percent awful 50 percent hilarious their 2014 album wasn't that good IMO
