don't worry friends i haven't forgotten
idk what happened but "she got the book for her friend in the hospital" and "she didn't get a chance to give the book" implies something absolutely horrible
No no, just had to leave prematurely.
How much is that setup costing minus M+KB anyway, curious since I want to get a new rig soonishâ„¢
you try using gamefaqs or youtube or something yet? you're probably missing something very obvious. that's what always happens when i get stuck in a game
Yeah that's honestly why I don't like older games; I know that sounds dumb but they usually (not all the time, there are exceptions) have horrible level design and stuff that makes absolutely no sense. You're talking about MGS2 right? If so then yeah I hate that stuff

i dont remember getting stuck anywhere in mgs3.
my advice to you Znt is to take it slow
don't rush it on your first time, you're bound it get fed up more easily and miss stuff
The map tells you where your objective is 99% of the time dumbo
Dude there was seriously no marker on the map, and the major just said it was somewhere close to me, next to the dozens of other locked red doors
I didn't just run around in circles

MGS2 is pretty good in terms of knowing where to go even if you get lost the codec usually tells you
Apart from that one bit where I got lost and didn't know how to enter this one strut

I went through that part last month and there was a marker, maybe it's an addition in the HD version?

Funny how Doom started off as one of the most modded games in history, and its current iteration is something you can't even touch besides a (probably garbage) level editor.
It's like somebody hit rewind on the time machine.
school starts tomorrow rip

That's a bit presumptuous, don't you think? We don't really know how capable Snapmap is. It was the last thing that Carmack worked on when he was with iD, I wouldn't have that little faith in it.
[editline]Regardless, a game doesn't need mods to be good. They enhance it, but they don't need it.[/editline]

It's probably not garbage, I mean Timesplitters had a pretty average level editior but it kept me preoccupied for years - literally. But that doesn't make it acceptable for Id to just say fuck all to the people who made their game playable to this day.
:snip: Yeezus took my merge
Yeah this news bums me out so hard.
I rewatched the Doom4 gameplay this morning and even added a little edit to my avatar from the hype.
I remember watching some parts going "oh I'll just mod that demon to look like how it did in Doom 1" or "man that gun sounds lame, sure glad I'm gonna be able to change that"
WELLP
Someone being a pickup artist is my cue that that person is stupid.

tbh it sounds like you convinced yourself it was going to have mods before there was even any talk of it
Seriously the ability to customize a game can seriously help. It's why I've played through Half-Life 2 so much, becuase all the scripts and skins can make each playthrough kinda unique.
Hell it's really helped me get through dark souls the first time. When you die and see the game say "ARE YOU SHITTNG ME" afterwards it really raises the spirits.
I think it's kinda funny though you mention that, I do find a lot of their voices so soothing
I love replaying Metal Gear games and hearing the Colonel's voice and the classic tunes play. Games mean so much to me and that'll never change

Nah a freind of mine who is STUPID HYPE for Doom4 claimed to have seen some interview or some shit where they confirmed mods. I believed him because he had no reason to lie to me.

Well then again, how can they stop people from modding? It won't have official mod support but won't people still be able to do shit? I dunno.

He probably was misled himself, then. Sorry. :/

I should've mentioned at this point that I'm not following the whole situation with id. I know that John Carmack was pretty important to them but don't remember why.
Forgive my ignorance. :frown:
