The entire Aldmeri Dominion is based on overthrowing the Empire because they believe themselves to better the superior race. They view everyone that isn't them as a lower being. They carry out ethnic cleansing of various races, including, but not limited to Bosmer, Imperials, Nords, and even some Altmer. They want to own literally every magical artifact they can so that they can better eliminate the Empire.
