Really old-fashioned guitar shops are the best. Usually, every couple of rural southern towns has one. There's one about 20 miles away from my hometown that I'd normally go to and it's glorious. Essentially an extremely old run-down trailer, but it's filled with mint-condition Gretsch guitars like you wouldn't believe. I assume the reason he stays in business is because just one of 'em sells enough to keep the place up for another decade.
Large scale grocery stores like Shop Rite and Pathmark. I used to like looking around Pergament, a home and garden store. The one near me went out of business a long time ago though. I used to like trying out chairs, checking out flowers in the gardening section, wondering if anyone ever "used" the toilets. All and all a strangely fun time.
I really wanted the flaregun, but it was too expensive for me at the moment. I've been saving up to get one of those cameras, though. I'm a sucker for classic cameras.
How much was it?
How much was it?
About fifty dollars. It resembled a M8 [t]http://www.imfdb.org/images/d/d0/M8FlarePistol.jpg[/t] In pretty good shape, too.
Second hand book shops and charity book shops.
Ikea is fun to wonder around in or costco.
It's very cool to pass by an Army Surplus and take a look at the different kinds of camouflage and gear each country holds, or use to hold. Another one of my favourites are culturally different stores. They seem to have a lot of different flavours in wares such as pots, vases, figurines, models and sculptures. From where I live, Downtown has a "China Town" as it's called with many vendors and interesting stores to stop by and just take a look around. It really feels like a whole new city all together to an extent. And of course always my favourite would be second hand or thrift shops.
Surpluses and collectible stores are good fun.
