I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. I'm really sorry, man. Having a dog seems to be a very unique kind of relationship, and a very special one.
I have a dog who should be five or six, we don't really know his date of birth. I don't even know what he's a mix of, probably a beagle and a Rottweiler. Anyway, it's not fun thinking about their limited lifespans and when they'll grow old and die.
I'm sorry, dude. It's too bad he died so young.
I love bernese mountain dogs. Had two as a kid and they were the best dogs I could ever have. I feel for you man.

I'm sorry for your loss big guy. I've lost a couple of pets in my lifetime. I love my dogs too. This little Shih-tzu/Jack Russell terrier mix I have named Yoda is awesome. I love her to death and she is getting old. I know her time will come soon but I wanna believe it won't. Just gotta spend time with 'em. Dogs are great pets and become very attached to the people that treat them nicely and take care of them. Dogs are a man's best friend. Again, I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you the best for the future.

My cat managed to get to 18 before she went. Halloween as well, she also managed to tip over the trashcan and eat some KFC then go into the garden and sleep under a nice tree and uh.. leave
Went out the way she lived, it was pretty impressive.

The vet gave him pain meds, he didn't feel anything, he died in his sleep.
