I mean it's pretty much shown that he has an affair with the woman because they both bonded over their experience in the war. Honestly I don't think they should've mentioned his family more simply because it's more unnecessary story they need to pad out.

I played killzone a few times at a friend's place. Mostly the third one.

Every character was awful. Every character. Of particular note was the strange female soldier in the third game who had wonderful,perfect, sensual hair that would have taken hours to do, in the midst of a war in an ash filled ruined city.. Who the fuck allows for that shit?

My biggest problem is that most of Cole's development and character was only in the last few missions of the game. Sure they showed flashbacks after every case but most of those felt like repeats of each other that didn't tell you much more than you already knew:

1st Flashback
"Fuck you Cole you uptight good-y two shoes"
oh so cole was a green (actually I can't remember if he was incompetent or not) by the book commander who wasn't liked by his squad mates

2nd Flashback
"Fuck you Cole youre the worst thing ever"
Nothing learned here

3rd Flashback
"Hey cole why didn't you kill that nip you fucking loser"
oh so cole isn't blatantly racist

4th Flashback
"goddammit cole just shoot the japs already what are you doing"
nothing learned here

I gotta say, sometimes I really hate Walt. I'm almost done with the series for a second time now and [sp]when Walt kills Mike just because Walt is an arrogant prideful fuck, I was so mad, then come to find out he could just get the list of prisoner names from Lydia made it worse. And the way he treats Jesse is downright shitty, like how he wouldn't give Jesse his money if he wouldn't keep making meth even though all he wanted to do was get out of the business and live. Even Skyler just wanted to live but Walt was too greedy. The ending was perfect though, everyone got what they deserved.[/sp]

I have alot of problems with the story in Dead Space 3.

In Dead Space 2 Ellie Langford is a alright character but Dead Space 3 Ellie is the one i have some real beef with.

Way to fuck up a strong survivalist badass character, make her the girlfriend of the protagonist or by the game has started, a Ex with a dick of a boyfriend and give her the most whingiest character in the whole game. Spec-fuckin-tacular. The real kicker is how quick she bounces back to isaac over the course of the game. It is like her whole damn character revolved around this shitty romance when infact in Dead Space 2 she served as a companion not as a romantic interest for Isaac and was vaguely interesting. There was potential but whatever potential there was is completely shit on by the 3rd game.

[sp] The part where she moans on about how isaac killed norton despite norton was fucking shooting at him, and in addition fucking betrayed the whole crew by selling out issac to the Unitologists. Who if they weren't contacted, wouldn't have caused so much trouble towards the end of the game. "Wah Wah! Norton is Dead!" [/sp]
