have you ever read Twilight? I remember reading some chapter-by-chapter dissection of it where it basically showed that it's a gigantic pile of mormon propaganda

Oh it most definitely is. Well, propaganda is a harsh word. I haven't read it myself, but everyone says it has lots of mormon symbolism in it. The girls here were all crazy for it before it spread to the entire world, it's nuts how popular it got.

I think it's interesting that a person of our beliefs would go on here regularly. It seems that it'd be hard for a Mormon to stay in this kind of environment.
I like this place. The people are nice, even if they can get a bit immature. I've certainly found out more on the Internet than I would have at my school/with my friends (of course/not all of it useful or wanted). I've certainly gotten a different and quite broader point of view ever since I started going on the Internet regularly.
I am still strong in my beliefs; you can see that in my posts, I hope. I don't make a big deal about it, especially since it's a lot easier to avoid conflict; you can just not go into that discussion or you can edit your post. The people here are very helpful if you go about it the right way. They discuss things I wouldn't normally think about, and I hope it's made me think broader in real life.
As for the kid, I hope he got his problems sorted out. I bet his parents forced him to go to church at the wrong times. It happened with my sister, though I don't think she would have been able to deal with church anyways, since she has so many other problems to sort out.
