What is amazing about the Quran is that two thirds of it (yes, two thirds) is text about the christian and jewish faith, since the three abrahamic religions are all connected through God.
What I also thoroughly enjoy about Islam (and the quran) is that it preaches its followers to always search for knowledge, to never go and be satisfied with what you know. This is why we know so much about the older civilizations, because the muslims were writing older scriptures down to persian and arabic so that the knowledge of the past would not be forgotten while christianity were at it's peak of ingorance and hunting down heretics.
