I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I had become a gold member after about a week of break from Facepunch.
That said it's not really all that different besides less avatar restriction and being able to see the GM forum and RC, which I don't have much need to post in either.
Though seeing people bitch and cry about their bans is pretty sweet.
