It's really hard yeah. :v:
The part that fucks with most cameras is that it should be focusing behind the surface of the eye, so it doesn't tend to look sharp with autofocus. Personally what I did is I stuck the focus on manual at the closest setting and just ballparked a few shots at about the distance I thought was right, then I just picked the best one of the bunch.

I mean I can't give you a number but I can tell it's not 100, because it's visibly noisy. Assuming 400-800.
If I ever go blind, I want to wear sunglasses at all times so nobody has to see my now awful eyes.
Then again I've seen the Tom Goes to the Mayor episode about glass eyes, so maybe getting absurd glass eyes would be an option.
I've been told I basically have a constant state of bedroom eyes.

yeah it's the resizing. the original isn't nearly as noisy looking. i cropped it and resized it to get all the rest of my eye out of the way since the eye was only a portion of the main picture.

i just realized live view on this camera limits the shutter speed so you can only go to 1/60 because it has a video mode

Since I go to a "techie" school right outside of SF I have to deal with that shit daily. Fucking with them is kind of fun though. (I have multiple performance art pieces planned that deal directly with techie interaction.)
