I had fun with my internet going out for two and a half hours. Essentially, my mom wanted me to move the router + modem, and clean up the cables (so of course I'm cable tying, getting it all neat and nice).
Then when I plug it back in, internet keeps going in for 3 secs, and then out for 30 secs. No sense, right?
Long story short, I plugged the modem power plug into the router, and vise versa. Different wattage, obviously didn't agree.
So yea, I'm pretty stupid. :goodjob:
To be fair though, I thought I had set the wires aside properly, and as a result it didn't come to thought.

Well to be fair I spent a shit ton on both the modem and router, since they're owned by yours truly.
It's hugging the wall still anyway, so no big difference there, but I would give your soul for some fiber optic.

Sweet! I love this ASUS router that I got, the ASUS RT-AC87U. Has great signal, never drops, and rarely gives me problems. I suggest it if you're not sure yet.
