In Windows 7 go to My Computer, then in the search box in the top right type 'kind:=music' and it should find everything. Only problem is that it includes all the Windows sounds too.

About 300 gigs,I don't know exact number of songs but I think It's at like 40k..theres alot of stuff in various formats,mixes etc all piling up since 2000(copying to every new hdd)The folder was 800GB at one point but cleaned up..
