Sure you can date other Soldiers, in fact the 101st Airborne is really good about putting dual military couples in the same unit, as long as it is not fraternization. However, there is the real possibility that your deployments might not synch up. There are two married couples in my current squadron, and it is working out pretty well. Dating a civilian can be challenging, as they don't really know what it is like to be in the military, and if they can't take being away from you for long periods of time there is the real possibility of them breaking up with you on deployment. Also, there is a real possibility that some women will target you because they know you have a steady and uninterruptable paycheck and want to cash in.

Ok guys, update. After a long time thinking, I have decided to apply for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, to work on AH-6 and MH-6 littlebirds. This will happen next year. It was awesome, there were UH-1's there too. Anyways, you will of course hear from me if I get into the SOAR. It is not like I can't post anything there.
