What sort of ISR capabilities does the OH-58D have?
I am not familiar with that acronym, can you spell it out?
I am not familiar with that acronym, can you spell it out?
Oh, nevermind. Considering that it is an observation helicopter equipped with the MMS, that is one of its primary jobs. I can't really elaborate due to opsec reasons.
does the kiowa use MFD displays similar to the a10 and f16 andshit
does the kiowa use MFD displays similar to the a10 and f16 andshit
It uses 2 MFD's that are similar, but they display text or MMS view data only.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but how old are you and when did you join the military?

Fair enough. What is your favorite weapon system on the OH-58D, and why?
It uses 2 MFD's that are similar, but they display text or MMS view data only.
mms view data being the camera systems and shit?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but how old are you and when did you join the military?
I am 19 and I joined the military last year on 30 April.
Fair enough. What is your favorite weapon system on the OH-58D, and why?
My favorite weapon system would be the GAU-19. Imagine explosive .50 cal at 1000-2000 rounds per minute.

Yeah, the video/thermal from the MMS.

Would this be you by any chance?
But to be serious, what do you think of using drones for combat instead of traditional jets with pilots? Also, do you work on any drones? Not sure if you would or not.
Do you enjoy PT?
I generally love to exercise but I don't know how being "forced" to do it would sit with me every day.
But to be serious, what do you think of using drones for combat instead of traditional jets with pilots? Also, do you work on any drones? Not sure if you would or not.
No, there is another troop that works on drones. I think that drones are a great tool, and are extremely safe and cost effective. However, both have their roles. They cannot do strafing runs or drop JDAMs, and that is why jets will always be around.

I sometimes enjoy PT, but not usually. Sometimes it just destroys you, and then you have to go to the hangar and work on helicopters for the rest of the day.
I am not familiar with that acronym, can you spell it out?

It stands for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.

'Night facepunch, gonna answer questions in the morning.
teach me how to use hellfires
teach me how to use hellfires
Here, I'll help you.
Step 1: Put Hellfire ontop of launcher.
Step 2: Fly helicopter up into sky.
Step 3: Hellfire falls off and explodes.
Step 4: Crash because government is after you and death is only way.
So some crazy crap happened in Korea last night. Now I'm back in Kadena, Japan. There was mold EVERYWHERE in my dorm room. I cleaned for two hours and now I am satisfied as the cleansing chemicals burn my face and eyes.
teach me how to use hellfires
Load up some hellfires, designate something with the MMS, hit the arm switch, pilot selects the hellfire, fire, boom.
How long did you have to shower daily in boot camp?
How long did you have to shower daily in boot camp?
However long you could afford. In the morning you didn't have much time, but at night you had a lot of time to take one. Shower times in my company weren't limited, they left that up to everyone's sense of responsibility. Also, boot camp is the Marine basic. Army is BCT.
Did permanently joining the Army require any sacrifices on your behalf ?
Also, boot camp is the Marine basic. Army is BCT.
Yeah I sorta don't know as much about the US army. What does BCT stand for?

Basic Training
Is ASVAB easy?

It is pretty easy if you are in, or just came out of high school and you paid attention. I got a 99 AFQT score and a 137 GT. You can too, if you take your time with the questions.

Wait it's not timed?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you miss your family?
[sp]Ignore this if already answered[/sp]
Wait it's not timed?
It is, but you have a lot of time to do it. Mine took me about 3 hours. I worked out every math problem and reread everything.

I would say around a 6. I love them to death, but they understand what I am doing and many of them were in the military themselves, so I am not as homesick knowing that. It would be nice to see my sister again before deployment though. She is pretty awesome.
Are you a fan of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?
Are you a fan of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?
I haven't read any of the books, so I can't form an opinion on it.
It may have already been asked, but why did you choose the Army?
Just moved in to my new dorm. What's a "must have" item that I should purchase that doesn't violate standard dorm room rules?
It may have already been asked, but why did you choose the Army?
I chose the Army because I could pick what job I wanted, and for their warrant officer program. I joined to become a pilot.

A rice cooker and crock pot will save your life. Cheap, easy to make food in, and did I mention cheap?
