I'm considering going as a vegetarian so I can have a healthy lifestyle but I don't know because I'll miss out on all those tasty meats.
Meat is part of our heritage, why would you want to go against it..
That was Ben Johnson, but whatever.
No, it was Carl Lewis as well.
Thank God what I was replying to is not: What I was trying to say is that when someone turns vegetarian they usually try to get some information and learn a bit more about how to get into an healthier diet.
Or they just cut meat out of their diet and are too stupid to think of the consequences.
That's what I did. That's what my veg friends did. My other friends normally don't give a fuck about what they are eating. If yours do, good for you and good for them.
Mine do, I do. You on the other hand generalized. So nice contradictory statement there bro.
Since this is a vegetarian and not a vegan thread: Protein - milk, eggs, nuts, almonds and soy
You'll have to consume twice as much. Milk contains a 3rd of a something like steak.
Iron - Beans, peas, soy and lentils Zinc - Beans, nuts and almonds B12 - Milk and eggs
Again, you'll have to consume twice as much. Especially B12. That's a fatty acid, so it's not healthy to load up on that.
Calcium - Milk, eggs, broccoli, soy and cauliflower
so your idea of a kickin' rad diet is nothing but milk. The other shit contains less calcium then meat.
Btw, I don't really understand why you lose your time trying to change our views. We know we are right and you think you are right so if you are not here to learn about the benefits of it, don't you have something more interesting to do? Just asking though, keep replying if you feel like it.
You are one smug shit. This is why no one likes vegetarians, you're so fucking high and mighty.
I prefer to be vegetarian one day, and not vegetarian the other day
Steak is good, very good
I'm considering going as a vegetarian so I can have a healthy lifestyle but I don't know because I'll miss out on all those tasty meats.
I loved meat and I hated vegetables. I tried being vegetarian for a week. It was so easy I decided to continue. Now, when I have to eat meat, I generally don't like it. So, if that is true, just try it for a week or so and see how you feel after that.
No, it was Carl Lewis as well.
Lol, alright, have it your way.
Or they just cut meat out of their diet and are too stupid to think of the consequences.
Well, if they have a balanced diet the consequences will just be getting healthier, spend less money and protecting the planet and the animals that live here with us, so I guess that's not so bad.
You'll have to consume twice as much. Milk contains a 3rd of a something like steak.
No you don't. I didn't and I'm alive and healthy (I also started going to the gym a couple of months ago and I'm gaining lean body mass barely eating meat) and so are millions of others.
so your idea of a kickin' rad diet is nothing but milk. The other shit contains less calcium then meat.
Nothing but milk? Regarding B12 you may be right, but I left alternatives to all the others.
You are one smug shit. This is why no one likes vegetarians, you're so fucking high and mighty.
Dude, I'm not just talking for talking, ok? I didn't turn vegetarian overnight, I did a lot of research, spoke with my doctor and even did some medical exams like 6 months after I started to check if everything was alright (it was). What I was saying is that thanks to this I know I'm right. You also think you are right and apparently think we are all dying and losing weight and getting weak and white as marble and whatever, so this is kinda pointless.
Lol, alright, have it your way.
"It was revealed that Lewis tested positive three times"
Well, if they have a balanced diet the consequences will just be getting healthier, spend less money and protecting the planet and the animals that live here with us, so I guess that's not so bad.
That's an idealistic outlook but no I don't see how meat packing is environmentally harmful. Agriculture IS environmentally harmful. Actually, produce is through the roof, and if you want a balanced meal, you'd need to eat more, thus buying more, thus pretty much spending the same amount of money. IF we don't eat the animals here, you think they'll go off scot free in the wilderness? It is bad.
No you don't. I didn't and I'm alive and healthy (I also started going to the gym a couple of months ago and I'm gaining lean body mass barely eating meat) and so are millions of others.
OH GEE I WONDER WHY! I know a good portion of Vegans, they're all frail, pale and down right sickly looking.
Nothing but milk? Regarding B12 you may be right, but I left alternatives to all the others.
you didn't read what I said.
Dude, I'm not just talking for talking, ok? GJ listening. and btw, sparky, I didn't say that. Medical experts did.
Don't force your shit on everyone else.
Are you completely stupid? He's thinking about going veg and I was just telling him what I did, I'm not forcing anything. But yeah, I'm the intolerant and "mighty" one...
"It was revealed that Lewis tested positive three times"
You use quotes and what is inside is suddenly a great truth? But whatever, he wasn't tested positive for steroids and I don't give a fuck anyway, that is not relevant here.
I don't see how meat packing is environmentally harmful. And that extra trip to the slaughterhouse before animals get to the supermarket must be good too. And just because you repeat yourself that doesn't make what you say true: I don't eat more than what I was used to and I'm still healthy so yeah, its cheaper.
OH GEE I WONDER WHY! I know a good portion of Vegans, they're all frail, pale and down right sickly looking.
Jesus, you are really stupid. Otherwise you would know it wouldn't matter how many times I was going to the gym, unless my daily intake of protein was enough I would not gain any lean body mass. We are talking about vegetarians here, not vegans... But yeah, I bet you do anyway. Care to share a couple of photos of your imaginary pals?
and btw, sparky, I didn't say that. Medical experts did.
Do you want a list of studies that say that going veg is good for you and for Earth? The difference is that the big and wealthy meat industry is not backing the ones I have to offer.

How is the trip to the slaughterhouse relevant? It will take its toll. I mean, you assholes are the one naming off ever disease known to man related to meat eating, then say "OH GIVE IT TIME"
Jesus, you are really stupid. Otherwise you would know it wouldn't matter how many times I was going to the gym, unless my daily intake of protein was enough I would not gain any lean body mass.
You're telling me eating meat causes deforestation... and you say I'm stupid. Please go away. What the fuck are you on about?
We are talking about vegetarians here, not vegans... But yeah, I bet you do anyway. Care to share a couple of photos of your imaginary pals?
Yes because I carry photos of my friends at all times. Imaginary? You're retarded, you know that?
Do you want a list of studies that say that going veg is good for you and for Earth? I don't think the meat industry is backing northwest university.
He said he tried. Read again.

I'm considering going as a vegetarian so I can have a healthy lifestyle but I don't know because I'll miss out on all those tasty meats.
Right...
Shooting a turkey =/= deforestation. How is the trip to the slaughterhouse relevant?
Getting new pastures = deforestation It's a waste of fuel and that is like one of the major world problems right now, in case you haven't heard.
It will take its toll. I mean, you assholes are the one naming off ever disease known to man related to meat eating, then say "OH GIVE IT TIME"
There have been vegetarians for centuries, or do you think this is a new trend? Was it just luck that none of them got any of the things you named? Da Vinci lived till 67 being a vegetarian in the XV century.
You're telling me eating meat causes deforestation... and you say I'm stupid. Please go away. What the fuck are you on about?
Since I already explained that to you, care to explain how can I gain lean body mass by just going to the gym without taking enough protein? Because that would be helpful to a load of people.
Yes because I carry photos of my friends at all times.
Yeah, too bad its impossible to storage photos in your computer or for people to send them to you. Whatever, since they are vegans and not vegetarians it doesn't really matter (although I can tell you about some well-known people who are vegans and healhty - since you don't like Hollywood, perhaps you like music: Johnny Marr, Thom Yorke and Zooey Deschanel).
Oh sure, link me to PETA and Earth front. Not like they're biased or anything.
Well, at least they don't do it for the money. But since you don't like them: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/1412238.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/2526891.stm http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/full/70/3/516S And since you are not going to read them, I think those are enough. And btw, I took a look at that article and they're not saying that being a vegetarian is bad, they're just saying that not taking enough protein is bad. They don't even relate the two. In fact, they say that a "Veggie burger, 3 oz" gives you 25.7 grams of protein, which is not bad at all. http://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/nutrition/factsheets/protein.html
Right...
You would deny a man his meat? you monster.
Getting new pastures = deforestation
And getting new crops isn't?
You would deny a man his meat? you monster.
Wtf? Seriously, I just hope that that guy returns, cause you are really a moron.
And getting new crops isn't?
Since the same fields are almost always used, no.
GEE GOLLY WE SURE AIN'T USING FUEL
Sometimes, just try to think a little, ok?
I don't give a shit who's a vegetarian or not. What part of this do you not understand?
Calm down, I was just trying to reassure you since you think your imaginary vegan friends are dying.
Hamburger has 106 sweet a broken page, just what I always wanted
A 3oz (86 grams) hamburguer has 106 grams of protein? Lol, fantastic. And the link is working. And even if its not working its from the article YOU quoted from the Northwestern University, you moron.
Wtf? Seriously, I just hope that that guy returns, cause you are really a moron. Since the same fields are almost always used, no. Sometimes, just try to think a little, ok? You are one arrogant prick also, may I point out crop rotation and runoff water?
I honestly don't see myself ever getting off my omnivore diet, animals eat other animals, why can't humans? I like meat. Some people don't, but who cares? Its everyone's personal decision whether or not they feel okay eating meat.
you know, it just isn't worth arguing with smug vegetarians. You are one arrogant prick also, may I point out crop rotation and runoff water?
Lol, finally run out of smart replies? I said this argument was pointless 5 posts ago and you just proved me right, comparing hamburgers and veggie burgers with different weights and implying that someone can gain lean body mass without the right intake of protein. If you think that what I and the other vegetarians are saying is bullshit why don't you just get the fuck out and let the ones who are interested in this talk about it? Fucking jerk. crop rotation = exactly the thing that let us use the same field for years and years without it suffering depletion of nutrients and thus allowing us to avoid deforestation
nope, I have more... just not worth it. Topsoil is not infinite. Crop rotation eventually has to move.
