i'm a vegetarian, not because ~animals are our friends :allears:~ but because I've never eaten meat and I hate the taste of it now and FYI we can easily make up for the lack of proteins by eatings beans and pulses like lentils so yeah
Enjoy your explosive diarrhea
Enjoy your explosive diarrhea
or eggs, hell yeah i love eggs vegetarian meat alternatives are awesome aswell, high protien low fat none of that soya shite
PI find it extremely funny you use the panda as an argument because it can't digest bamboo, which is why it needs to eat a shitton of it per day to live.
It can't digest it. But it eats it. ???
or eggs, hell yeah i love eggs vegetarian meat alternatives are awesome aswell, high protien low fat none of that soya shite
If you are a vegetarian, why would you even try to PRETEND that you are eating meat. I dont even fucking get why you have substitute meat. Its like "hey guys, im not going to eat animals but im still going to eat fake meat which shows im a huge hypocrite!" [editline]12:19AM[/editline]
It can't digest it. But it eats it. ???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_Panda#Diet
Have fun with the pale skin and mal-nutrion, sandy face!

Its like "hey guys, im not going to eat animals but im still going to eat fake meat which shows im a huge hypocrite!"
Not really, eating just veggies is extremely dull where as vegetarian meals provide a tasty alternative, some are even better than the real thing. I know I took a great liking to Vegetarian Sausage Rolls.
I've considered becoming vegetarian but only because of the conditions of slaughter houses, not their purpose.
i skin my chickens alive before i cook them, :)!
I've considered becoming vegetarian but only because of the conditions of slaughter houses, not their purpose.
if you watched that peta video then they just found the worse slaughterhouses oh and avoiding meat won't stop them, you're only hurting yourself
i really don't understand vegetarians but as long as they're not dumb/peta/flaunt it around more power to them i guess. i'm skinny, in great health and i eat a lot of meat. vegetarian points are void.
If you are a vegetarian, why would you even try to PRETEND that you are eating meat. I dont even fucking get why you have substitute meat. It's generally textured soy protein that has been flavored with seasonings. Just because you use the same seasonings on a piece of tofu that you would on a piece of chicken doesn't make you a hypocrite.
Its still fake meat. Notice the word meat over there. Meat.
Stupid argument. So if I call broccoli "fake meat" does that make any vegetarian who eats broccoli a hypocrite? They call it fake meat because people like you understand that better than calling it "seitan" or "textured wheat gluten." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_gluten_(food)
Ooh, a vegetarian thread! Night before last I had 6 steaks.
While I'm on your side Sparkwire, your argument isn't very good. People not eating meat will not change the conditions in slaughterhouses, nor close them down. You can have as many people as you like following your health damaging ideas, but there will always be enough to keep the meat industry going. No meat industry also means no jobs for everybody in that line of work (Livestock farmers, slaughterhouse workers, delivery drivers, butchers, fast food workers) so not only could you be harming yourself, but also others. If nobody ate meat, where would we grow all of the food required to support the population? Acres and acres of land dedicated to growing the masses of plants required for healthy levels of protein for everybody in the world. Hardly sounds better than grazing cattle, and perhaps an argument for intensive farming?

People have been eating animals for thousands of years, there's no real reason for everyone to become a vegetarian right now.
People not eating meat will not change the conditions in slaughterhouses, nor close them down.
So you really don't think that if demand for meat went down, meat producers would reduce their output?
If nobody ate meat, where would we grow all of the food required to support the population? Acres and acres of land dedicated to growing the masses of plants required for healthy levels of protein for everybody in the world. Where do you think we grow all the food required to support the cattle which are required to support the population? Feeding cows takes an ENORMOUS amount of land, because not only do they need land to wander around and graze in, they also need land to grow the grains that are turned into cattle feed. A vegetarian diet takes way, way, WAY less land.
http://www.goveg.com/worldhunger.asp I eat meat. But I oughtn't.
Cows, oxen and sheep(lamb) graze. Pigs eat whatever they can find in the ground, plus leftovers from other food production. Exactly what animal are we talking about here?
While I'm on your side Sparkwire, your argument isn't very good. People not eating meat will not change the conditions in slaughterhouses, nor close them down. No meat industry also means no jobs for everybody in that line of work (Livestock farmers, slaughterhouse workers, delivery drivers, butchers, fast food workers) so not only could you be harming yourself, but also others.
First of all, a vegetarian diet is usually healthier than a diet that includes meat. Don't assume that meat is necessary. (and if you want proof, I could literally find over a hundred studies from a Google search that say so.) Second, the meat industry, like any other, is definitely vulnerable to a drop in consumers. If less people buy meat, then they provide less meat. Supply meets the demand. Also the meat industry uses a lot of resources to produce a small amount of a luxury item. (but leather and milk are nice)
If nobody ate meat, where would we grow all of the food required to support the population? Hardly sounds better than grazing cattle, and perhaps an argument for intensive farming?
Really now? Anybody who's taken at least high school biology (or even history) will know that farming is a fuckton more efficient than raising animals. Growing crops takes around a tenth of the land that it would take to raise an equivalent amount of meat, not to mention all the fertilizer, labor, and fuel saved.
Cows and sheep(lamb) graze. Pigs eat whatever they can find in the ground, plus leftovers from other food production.
Yeah.... no....... With the exception of organic & free range meats, most food animals in the USA live in cages and are fed grain-based feed.
dude you pretended to sand your face you are in no position to be mocking anybody
Wait he didn't actually sand his face? What the hell did I miss?
why the fuck would you not want to eat meat
How do vegetarians get B12? I'm not against vegetarianism, I've heard some need to supplement their diet with B12 pills or shots though.
How about if you stopped taking your vitamins every day and ate only plants you wouldn't last for more than two weeks from deficiency
I consider myself half vegetarian :P I like Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Bacon, all the good stuff... But I hate Steak, Chicken Cutlet, Pork Chops, etc...
