lol vegetarians are pussies
People have been omnivore since the beginning of man. We eat plants and meat. Eating meat is human nature. There is a reason why we have two fangs in our mouths. Humans are designed to eat meat, and if you deny it then you refuses to evolution. Of course you can be a vegetarian but do not say that it is inhumane to eat meat even though we know that the animals we eat has gone through much pain. When it is a natural process for a human being to be a carnivore.
I hate meat that looks like meat.
Another one of these threads? This is like the fourth one in two weeks or something. I'll just write this out again. I'm a vegetarian, and I don't mention it unless either someone offers me meat to eat, and I explain why I don't have it, or if one of these threads emerge. I hate veggies that force their opinions on others and try to convert people to vegetarianism just as much as you meat eaters apparently do. I also hate meat eaters who do the same just as much. Just so long as you aren't intolerant of other people's lifestyle, I see no problem with being a herbivore or an omnivore. I do find it ironic though some people who find out I'm vegetarian, ask why, and after that to attack me for it and try to convert me. I can tell this is because they seem to generalise vegetarians into that extremist group like PETA are, since most of the time, they don't realise a vegetarian is a vegetarian unless they go about shoving it in people's faces. And by getting defensive over nothing, they become the thing they hate about these generalised vegetarians. Only some people do this though, mainly people at school, who usually look for things to pick on someone for. Also the "It isn't natural" argument makes no sense to me. Are computers natural? Are you using a computer to make your post?
Wow this thread is like 100% just like Tom-ate-ems thread from a while back To answer the question, me, Tom-Ate-Em, and DementNeo are all vegetarians. A few others, too, but I forget whifch [editline]12:28PM[/editline] Oh and the guy above me.
I'm a meatarian.
When starting Vegetarians stop eating meat, they experience a sudden surge of estrogen to make up for the lack of B12 and protein. In other words, vegetarians get the women hormones. For example, my best friend Brian stopped eating meat about two weeks ago, then the other day he got pissed because I said his dad eats steak in front of the TV and now we don't even say hello when we see each other.
not all sorts of meat are outcome of an animal massacre.
How could you possibly come to the conclusion that eating meat is bad for you?
Science! :science:
The mainstream perspective in the United States is that red meat should be a very limited part of a healthy diet. This is primarily based on the fact that it contains saturated fat, which the American Heart Association says is the main dietary cause of high blood cholesterol. Meanwhile, studies have linked red meat to a number of chronic diseases, including: * Breast cancer * Colon cancer * Prostate cancer * Heart disease Conventionally speaking, it is because of findings like these that the common healthy diet mantra in the United States sounds something like this: "The less red meat the better," says Dr. Walter Willett, professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health. "At most, it should be eaten only occasionally. And it may be maximally effective not to eat red meat at all."
http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/07/07/18/eating-red-meat-once-and-for-all-is-it-bad-for-you-or-good-for-you.htm
My girlfriend is a vegetarian. Unfortunatly.
as an internet nerd, you choosing not to eat meat MAKES ME ANGRY [editline]04:16PM[/editline] I am literally offended by you making the decision to not eat meat
I like meat also but why would you get angry at someone who is different?
My view: We needed to eat meat then, now we don't. I don't have any problem with hunters. If you couldn't go out and kill yourself an animal, then you don't deserve to eat meat. That's the reason I went vegetarian. I don't care how "natural" it is to eat meat. It's not natural to get your meat from the supermarket which was slaughtered hundreds of miles away.
I disagree. It's sort of like saying: "If you can't create a turbine powered by readily available resources and create a power-grid for your house, then you don't deserve electricity"
Have you ever had any vegetarian food? If you tried a Morningstar / Boca / Gardenburger, without being bias, you'd like it. Most things you eat that don't contain meat are vegetarian. I say most because there are still things, like gelatin, that aren't considered vegetarian.
I agree, vegetarian food is delicious, but that doesn't make meat any less delicious.
That steak looks disgusting any ways. Looks like they're cooking it way too hot. It still looks raw and yet it's super charred.
Nah, a lot of people like a deep char.
Just stop, I know you don't agree with me, there's no point in arguing. I think religion is dumb, but I wouldn't serve a Jew ham. If you would, you have problems.
All my Jewish friends like ham... [editline]03:32PM[/editline]
I like meat also but why would you get angry at someone who is different?
He's being sarcastic.
Plants are living things, too. I've been a fruititarian taking supplements.
I really don't try to find some moral justification for why I eat meat. I just enjoy it. If people decide to be vegetarians, well, more meat for me.
I've been a fruititarian taking supplements.
Ok, so are we really supposed to think that you're a female frutitarian gamer who does Parkour? Really?
I'm a vegetarian because I decided I didn't want to eat animals when I was two years old. I like animals. Meat grosses me out. (Also, on the occasions when I have accidentally eaten meat (thanks for the beef sauce burrito, Del Taco!), I ended up getting horribly sick. I'm not sure I could eat meat if I wanted to.) [editline]06:00PM[/editline]
It's not natural to not eat meat. If a human didn't eat meat before we had these fucking protein pills and vitamin supplements, or protein-rich veggies (which you buy in the evil unnatural supermarket), etc, they would have terrible health problems. All humans are omnivores. You may be vegetarian by choice but you're still an omnivore by species. If you weren't, then you wouldn't have a stomach designed to digest meat and veg, and your body would be a lot less reliant on stuff found mostly in meat.
I don't eat protein protein pills, vitamin supplements, or "protein-rich veggies". You know what I eat in addition to vegetables? Beans and eggs. You know how many protein, vitamin, or mineral deficiencies I've had? None. People have been eating beans and eggs for as long as someone figured out that you could eat the things on the plants (about 7000 BC), and the things that come out of chickens (6000-4000 BC).
I prefer my food brutally hunted down and roasted. Once carrots grow legs then I will consider them.
http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/ Check and mate :smug:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_attack Check and mate? :smug:
People have been omnivore since the beginning of man. When it is a natural process for a human being to be a carnivore.
We humans (like any other species) evolve on necessity. If you look at the human digestive system, you'll find that our teeth are designed for chewing (even our canines, or "fangs" if you like) and our intestines are long and rugged, much like the digestive system of a herbivore. However, it has adapted so that we can successfully digest meat, but we're better at digesting non-meat foodstuffs. Why did we adapt? It was probably because we didn't know how to farm yet, so food was scarce. We'd eat anything that was edible, including animals, so our bodies adapted to survive. But look at us now. We've got infrastructure, fertilizer, farming methods, etc. We've got TONS of food. We don't need meat at all because food is plentiful. It's on our plates because people enjoy the taste of it. If you like meat then eat all you want, but saying that we were designed to eat it is bullshit. And the natural argument is hardly relevant in modern society.
It's not natural to not eat meat. We had terrible health problems all the time back then. Scurvy, the black plague, Malnutrition (yes, malnutrition,) all sorts of _____ poisonings. They didn't have a well-balanced diet. Now that food is plentiful and we know a lot more about medicine and nutrition, we don't have to rely on meat to survive. People are a lot healthier. Also what makes you think our stomachs were designed to digest meat? It's obviously true that we can digest it, but is the human stomach really optimized to digest meat efficiently? If so, why do doctors and nutritionists everywhere recommend that people reduce their meat consumption and increase the amount of fruit and vegetables in their diet? If the human body was designed to eat meat, then we should be able to take in a lot more than a petty 3 servings of red meat a week without any long-term health problems. It's even more annoying when people think all vegetarians are associated with PETA, which is like saying that an all-meat diet means you're with the church of Scientology. (PETA are extremists btw.)
I'm a meatarian.
Just so you know, the human body cannot survive on cooked meat alone. The closest thing are the Inuit, who live on a diet of mostly meat, but they eat it raw and also eat several other body parts of the animal. They still get their non-meat portion from various berries that survive in the cold climate. did you know Hitler was a vegetarian?
Yeah, hitler was a lot of things.
Sort of related :D
did you know Hitler was a vegetarian?
He was not a vegetarian.
I've been vegan for around 4 years now.
You've been a vegetarian for 10 years? So what since you were 5? (You looked like around 15 year old in those pictures you took at least <.<)

I just ate the rarest, bloodiest roast beef you can eat without getting worms.
Didn't you sand your face because you were ugly?
Many members of Facepunch have embarrassed themselves, and you are no exception.
