I was trying to find a youtube video to show exactly what I mean but that proved surprisingly difficult because the name is such a common thing.

I didn't bother to read the start of this conversation (I plan to go back and read everything, honest), but it's pretty obvious you're talking about Saki.
I'm really looking forward to watching that, it looks great fun. I agree that it's an "action" anime too, if only for the sake of comedy.
