Right now at college I'm using this micro computer, it's a piece of shit, lags a lot and compresses everything on screen.
So I spent over an hour learning how to solve a particular type of equation only for the professor to come in at the last 10 minutes of the class and go "by the way here's a single formula you can use to solve that shit in 10 seconds". So yeah, never gonna need the shit he taught us for an hour because now we're just using the formula. Fuckin' hell dude.

i still haven't woke up fully and for a moment i thought this meant: there is a group called 'support special' and they really need teachers and google is willing to match your donation (of teachers)

anyway here's some ideas:
- medieval fantasy where the only modern invention present is the jackhammer, all construction workers burned as witches and so everyone only lives in straw huts, even the royalty
- space exploration sci-fi alternate history where the segway company was the first to mass produce personal spaceships and also ads were successfully launched into hyperspace
- 17th century maritime drama where the pirates are actually the citizens of the lost city of atlantis
- cyberpunk high fantasy where it's basically the lord of the rings but with an sd card

Focus on worldbuilding before you start. Write stuff about the world, its inhabitants, major historical events etc. Write a bible you can base your work on.

Everything needs preliminary work and planning.
So now another one of my Steam friends is playing League and I'm teaching him the basics in bot matches.
What makes it hard to teach him though is he invests most of his game time into Team Fortress 2, and the only other MOBA he has played was DotA2 and that was for like a week, so I need to teach him the core of League gameplay, item builds and the shop, how to fight enemies, proper class builds etc. Although satisfying when you teach new people how to play LoL.

Makecsure he has fun too. If he doesn't have fun learning the game then it's probably not gonna lead anywhere.
I mean my initial idea was like a post apocalyptic thing where nobody has any idea of what happened before them. All they know is that they're living in a destroyed world where people just like them used to exist and some go crazy to figure out what happened, while some just don't care.

how about post apocalypse where everyone stopped aging after the "end" so there's a mixture of "immortal" people and their normal aging children
