in my CK2 game, I wanted to control this one irish county. I declared war on it and won but then found out that my character didn't control this county but to revoke the title away from the person controlling it would make me seem bad. I then went on to assassinate all the man controlling the county and all heirs of this county (except one, another person killed him for some reason) and then realized that it went to another branch of the family instead of me. I wiped out an entire dynasty and then controlled the county which I promptly gave to my son smol_boss.
