I would like to say that's a habit, especially when Facepunch was at a stricter time. I still have it too but I tend to ignore it when I'm inside here just chilling and chatting.
relaxed typing and stuff like this is perfectly understandable and shouldn't warrant an instant bad spelling and grammar complaint, fast anime is in fast threads home of chat like threads, just like chat rooms it's perfectly fine to treat it like a chat room as a user should please, unless further authority says so
people's objective here is not trying to write an award winning essay, but merely just here to have fun and chat about things

Yeah, that's good and all but I have an habit to try to use proper spelling and grammar ever since I decided to make my own project.

it's perfectly fine to type in any style the problem will only persist if your actual intention is to troll and piss off people with on purpose bad spelling and grammar
Although if you're serious in posting something or making a huge post about something awesome, it's pretty recommended to type like this with proper punctuation and grammar since it adds formality and style to your post and can attract people more.
other than that, it's perfectly fine to post in fast threads in a relaxed manner like this
