Decided to watch Kurogane no Linebarrels. The first 3 or 4 episodes are full of the main character being a complete douchebag. I struggled to get through them. But around episodes 4 and 5 he's not a little bitch anymore so it's okay.
I finished an anime called Michiko to Hatchin. Despite all the bright and vibrant colours I'd say it was one of the darkest animes I've watched.

The show is actually okay. I guess you could say the first few episodes are kind of important to show how the main character goes from "I'm a weak scrawny bitch" to "FUCK YEAH! POWER! SAVE THE WORLD! EGO BOOST MAXIMUM OUTPUT!" and then to "This ego boost shit is going to get people killed". It's only the first few episodes though. It's not like he's an asshole the entire series (up to episode 12 so far, he's still fairly normal). Though he still has the small ego that all main characters with some kind of power get. Basically, the show's okay.
