I've never understood mecha anime, maybe because of transformers, so to you who like it, whats so good about it ? Robots?
For starters just think of the idea of giant robots beating the ever loving crap out of eachother what's there not to love (quite alot since I don't like most of them :v:)
Fills that. "Oooh explosion" part of your brain to the breaking point. Other than that it's useless. Unless the design of the mech fits your tastes.
Unless the design of the mech fits your tastes.
Like the Code Geass mechs

Well finally watched Gundam F91, was good, but would of been better if it was a tv show like it was originally planed.
1. I have not been living with her or anywhere near her place for the past week 2. I did, but she wanted to hear some second-opinions
You have some serious problems if you don't think you're living near yourself, and haven't thought so for a week. It would be quite weird if you didn't know your own opinions.
WTF. Apparently Baka to test to has been licensed, I can't watch episode 9 anywhere!!! Bull shit. [sp]If people know where to watch it tell me please[/sp]
Streaming sucks, stop doing it. That is all.
I've never understood mecha anime, maybe because of transformers, so to you who like it, whats so good about it ? Robots?
There is nothing good about it. But generally mecha shows are about very specific things. Politics. Human psychology, which is simply "You can do it! Just believe in yourself!" and the whole, love is important thing and yadda yadda. And of course "It's fucking robots beating the shit out of eachother and everything else! EXPLOSIONS! YEEES! IN SPACE! (Often in space at least, not always).
And the thread have drifted into total nonsense again.. How's it going Naoko?
Yeah, RTS disucssions sucks. I hate strategy. I like RTS, but I hate strategy. I usually roleplay in them instead, I already know I can't win, so I create villages instead and try to get pity from the others. Until somebody brutally rapes me with their army of 200 units. Warcraft is the best RTS of all times though. Then there is Age of Empire, Civilization, Command and Conquer, Dune 2000 and all that jazz.
I'm just a bit surprised, considering the OP so emphatically states that we aren't into that sort of thing.
The OP is written by one man. Me. It is not made together by the thread members. Doesn't it also state that not everyone here dislikes it but the general ammount does? Because they do, but it doesn't say anything about the manga which is supposedly much better. But still mainstream crap. The main reason for it is divided in two parts: 1. Keep away the Naruto-, Bleach- and Piece-fags. (And Dragonballz and Gundam fags) 2. Inform people that that isn't all there is to anime.
Everyone here fails. You forgot Hellsing, the anime everyone loves to love. :D
You fail for not reading the OP.

There's nothing better than winning because you used your head better than the other guy. Although many RTS's are more about being faster than your opponent and that's not what I think the genre should be about. There's strategy in pretty much all games, even in reflex-oriented games like FPS's and beat-em-up's. If you can use the game mechanics to your advantage you can beat the dude that's both faster and more accurate than you. Run away from that guy in Quake only to fill his nostrils with grenades the moment he comes around the corner. Spellsteal that priest's passive heals and bubbles without him noticing it in WoW. Sacrifice your pawn and use the new positions to take 5 of your opponent's pieces in one move in checkers. Feign attacks in AoE2. etc, etc.

There is smartass tactics, like sniper positioning and camping, sneaking into their bases and take them from behind, hiding behind a corner, steal the enemies weapons and such. And there is strategic tactics, which is stuff like battle formations, placing armies tactically based on their types, strength and weaknesses, see the enemy and counter their tactics and units. I can't do strategic tactics.
Oh my god Last.FM is awesome
no it suk
like u
Oh my god Last.FM is awesome
There is nothing good about Last.FM except for looking for some unique free downloads and keeping track of what bands you listen to and how many times for no particular other reason than just pure fun, and sharing with others to compare your favorite artists and such. But generally it's nothing special. It's MAL for Music.
