Prove that Tr(ABC)=Tr(CAB) with A,B & C square matrices...
this thread has told me that a majority of FPers on fast threads are <18 years old.
Do some multi variable integrals up in there.
Are you kidding me right now I don't know how to do multivariable.
Turns out it was a typo and it's supposed to be 2x+y so nevermind.
Prove the following trigonometric identity:
(sin(Θ) - cosec(Θ))^2 = sin^2(Θ) + cot^2(Θ) - 1
In this case the '=' sign means "is equivalent to", and this is an identity, not an equation. So no switching between the two sides!
Edit:
I'll post the solution if nobody gets it
This is too easy, I don't know why I'm bothering, but:
LHS:
Expand it out:
sin^2 x - 2 + cosec^2 x
(since cosec^2 = cot^2 + 1)
Therefore it equals sin^2 + cot^2 - 1
which is RHS
Bob has 1 apple. Bob takes on a life of crime and steals 50 apples from a local vendor. He is arrested and sent to jail for the next 50 years. How many apples does Bob have now?
[sp]None. They don't let you bring food to prison.[/sp]

x/0 is usually considered to be infinity when being used in an application.

Correct. Glad to see somebody remembers A level maths.
What's sad is i know these equations that people posted, guess they're more physics related in general. Anyways

The answer would actually be -50.
To start with you have -25, and you are adding an additional -25, if you added 25 instead, you would have gotten 0 and you would have been right, but since you are adding -25, it's -50 instead.
I think.

Please tell me you're joking. You are adding -25 to NEGATIVE 5 SQUARED, which is 25, so you get zero.

I'll run it through google.
google says = (-(5 squared)) + (-(5 squared)) = -50
Please tell me you're joking. You are adding -25 to NEGATIVE 5 SQUARED, which is 25, so you get zero.
Also, 5 squared is 25, -5 squared is -25
Note that the negative sign isn't outside the bracket in the second term being added in the original question, which is unlike what you put into google. Try this: -5^2 + (-5)^2
Also, 5 squared is 25, -5 squared is -25
