Guys, what do you suppose makes a good generic beat em up game? Is it the crazy amount of enemies that surround you and you beat the shit outta them either one by one or all at once? Is it the sick moves some characters pull off when attacking? Is it the fact that you get to total some innocent's car and get the fuck outta there?
Reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking of making a beat em up game myself. I was considering adding combos in there too like they do in fighting games. Makes things more complicated, yet simple and fun, I would say

Look at a game like Streets of Rage or Golden Axe. Those are amazing beat em ups.

i just saw a spoiler for resident evil 7 that was just... :wideeye:
It was a mixture of horrifying and hilarious, and I think it was at the beginning so it isn't really anything incredibly major since there isn't a lot of context to it. The goofiness mixed in with an intense scene makes me love this game even more.

Lots of blood and gore and he throws your foot across the room. You have to crawl to pick your foot back up, then Jack leaves some kind of bottle of liquid for you, so you grab that, the guy puts his disembodied foot back on the stump of his leg, pours the liquid over it, and it just...reattaches. It's hilariously goofy but intense at the same time.[/sp]

I mean, his post doesn't say what [I]exactly[/I] I had spoiler tagged, but it describes the contents of the spoilered post pretty clearly even if it's not specific. I just feel like, especially when a game isn't released yet, everything that isn't from a trailer or released gameplay video should be spoilered in full.
What I posted wasn't in any kind of media or trailer or anything, it was from a leaked video of the game. Only reason I was surprised by it was because I had never seen or heard about it before :pudge:
