I always talk about metal in the context of instrumental because I just don't enjoy metal lyrics and I think they always make a song too corny for me to take seriously, despite the fact I fucking love metal instrumentation otherwise. Everyone I talk to in this context screams how I'm wrong, like "butt metal" and "shit metal" and how metal can [B]only[/B] have lyrics to be good, and metal is shit if it lacks it

honestly the rock/metal community is just full of all kinds of assholes and elitists and its just not worth it to even think about what others have to say about your taste. youll have a lot better time if you just listen to what you like and discuss music with people who can respect you and your taste.
