I have a change to enact revenge on someone who was wronged me in the past but I'm at an in pass. Would it be right? Him and 12 others didn't even give it a second thought but I've been wrestling with what to do for a month. Would it make me as bad as them? Would I be worse? Man, I sort of wondered what most of the new cartoons on CN and Nick are missing compared to the ones from the 90s and the 2000s. Is it that it has an actual plot and doesn't force its appeal to the "mainstream" or something?

actual plots are more of a thing right now too
part of it is nostalgia
part of it is probably that cartoons don't require as much hand-drawn artwork now

I'm not at my pc so I'll just go off memory. the four or five most popular low price 24 inch 144 hz monitors I looked at (I only remember the brands: asus, lg, Aoc, benq)were all nearly identical but I still managed to find some stuff to go off of. Found several forum threads where a few people tested three of them and vouched for the LG or benq over asus, found a video comparing benq to the asus which revealed the benq had horrible washed out colors. Newegg reviews for the Aoc showed it had nearly nonexistent costumer support and nothing else that stood out so fuck that one. found a review on toms hardware that went in depth on the LG and showed it had fucking stellar stats for color representation and most everything, nearly all iirc over the asus. There was more stuff as well I can't remember off the top of my head that I could recheck when I get home to my pc if you really wanted
Basically it came down to what would have the best colors since my current monitor is so washed out and I wanted something way better in that department (without going for either a laggy or expensive ips panel), and all signs pointed to the LG being the winner there. The Asus 248QE was close second, tho.

Out of the brands you've named the LG panel is likely the best but just hope you get a good one from the batch, LG's got as much luck as buying no-name korean panels so dead pixels and so on are not unknown, as for support, you might be lucky to get anything back from LG, when its comes to support Benq is the best with Asus just behind them, both AOC and LG sit in the "what support" area.
Also can confirm, it isn't uncommon for higher refresh rate screens to have washed colours, mine borders very hard towards the white side of any colour with even black being more a dark grey than black because the backlight is so damn strong, luckily get around this by having a more 1:1 display with my 2nd screen which was my old main.

Well I've not really used newegg before This pc upgrade spree, but if it arrives fucked up like that I assume newegg would just let me return it, right? Would be a hassle but at least I wouldn't be stuck with it. Also I bought the extra 1 year replacement plan thing so I assume that'll help if it goes to shit outside the return window.
I got it for just $250 so i wouldn't be too pissed if it dies after a year but hey fingers crossed

Certainly, any online retailer should be able to do replacements, never used Newegg because europe but I'd assume so, pretty sure they've got a while page related to returns for replacements and over here at least I know we get a minimal of 2 months warranty on anything sold to you going pop or showing flaws.
Also don't expect it to die after a year, if it lasts 4 months you'll very likely be good for another few years. Just don't drop it, like I have mine, it gives you a really bad heart attack.

it's funny cause my LG IPS monitor is worse then my HP IPS monitor which I find somewhat ironic considering its HP.
Dunno if gaming on IPS monitors is fine or not, can't remember if you or someone else mentioned it was not a good idea

IPS, nope. Those things are so slow at updating that you can see the lag.
They're great for colour work and photo editing but if you need to use it for anything with fast motion and high framerates, you're gonna see ghosting galore on an IPS, they're just not fast enough due to the nature of them, they've gotten better but they still don't have a thing against a good TN panel.

i feel like like some cartoons like the reboot of powerpuff girls and steven universe are sort of "tumblr-ish" if you get the idea
since i was just born on the 2000's i didnt see cartoons from before a lot but cartoons from the 2000's and beyond werent really a lot like that
