You can probably play just about any DOS game or anything up until 2005. You could probably run Half-Life 2 also, it has really good optimization.
On every laptop there is one game I always install for flights
Roller Coaster Tycoon 2
I fly like 6/7 times a year and on each flight I go back into my "ryanair themepark" and work on it for the 4 hour flight, the park is now basically full of "mr bones wild ride"...
I still have RCT 1 installed on my laptop. I bought them in a 3-pack recently, all RCTs plus expansions. Felt great, was just €8!
Maybe NES or SNES emulators?

v1 is 404 for some reason (blame garry for everything)
Risk of Rain, Don't Starve, Metal Slug, Battleblock theatre, Castle Crashers... that's all I can really think of. All pretty good games.
Skyrim, Crysis, Arma 3, Far Cry 3
Bad Rats, not like you need anything else.
TF1 is still a real cool game imo
Yeah, you probably might wanna try emulating childhood favorites like Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Country
GTA Vice City
Shovel Knight is a fantastic game to play. It's the best "retro" game in recent years.
