Ex GM here, there's no difference. Gold Member forum is like the OIFY but with yellow and green names.
It's simple really. There are less gold members and the server can still take the load if it's got the limit. The server wouldn't be able to handle search for everyone right now.
It's not a matter of superior members or anything, just that there's less of us and some members may aswell get search than none.
